On the mics this week: Jerod, Andy, and Ryan.

This week’s rundown

In Segment One [2:20], Jerod describes why Juwan winning the first Gold Jersey was so important, Andy discusses whether he’ll be joining Joe Lunardi on his “Bracketology Cruise,” Ryan gives the football team some love for flipping a 4-star Ohio State commit, and then we discuss the Big Ten’s official preseason All-Conference team … which includes way too many guys.

In Segment Two [15:10], we dissect the most interesting comments from Big Ten Media Day — including the growing practice competition between Devonte Green and Rob Phinisee, Archie’s positive comments about Justin Smith, how Romeo is responding to Juwan’s dominant practice play, and why it continues to look like Zach McRoberts is entrenched as a major player for this team.

In Segment Three [26:17], we each provide our projected top 4 teams in the Big Ten, pick our surprise team, choose an All-Conference team, and then discuss whether this is an up or down year for the Big Ten.

In Segment Four [43:26], we answer your questions.

• Why was Indiana’s in-state recruiting so down prior to Archie’s arrival?
• If we had to pick one … would we rather see the team spring some upsets but lose some head-scratchers, or take care of business but not beat any of the top teams on the schedule?
• If we had to pick one … would we rather see the team win a Big Ten title but lose early in the tournament, or have a so-so regular season but then make a deep tournament run?
• If the point guards struggle, could we see extended time for Romeo at the point this season?

All of that and more on this week’s edition of Assembly Call Radio.
