After suffering the tragic loss of her first pregnancy at 26 weeks (6.5 months), she began to process her emotions in writing and found it was cathartic! Her healing began in writing and soon after she felt compelled to share her thoughts and the tips and resources that helped her, in the hope that it would encourage other pregnancy loss sufferers and the people around us to process the grief and uncertainty around losing a baby. Jihan was 37 years old when she lost her son.

Mrs. McFarlane has been a Christian for almost 80 years, having accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour at 12 years old. She worked in government service for 30 years, and during this time successfully pursued a Diploma in Public Administration at the University of the West Indies. Her strong business acumen led her to become a successful poultry farmer for over 25 years after retirement.  Mrs. McFarlane loves God and people passionately. In her heyday, she never missed an opportunity to encourage others to be completely devoted to God, and make the best of their lives. She is a widow who has three children, five grand-children and two great grand-children.
