It was double trouble for the Supercars Championship Series, with Will Brown his first Supercars title while spearheading a Red Bull Ampol Racing one-two that left the squad dominating the Teams' Championship.
And because it was the Adelaide 500, there was heaps happening. Turn 8 was tearing up cars again, and we think there is a simple fix or two to keep it challenging but to reduce the danger that left two drivers not well enough to race.
Zach Bates locked down the Dunlop Super2 Series in a 'future' star studded field when some of the main game teams start looking properly. Todd Hazelwood did the same in Trans Am… and Adam Marjoram won the Super Utes. Harri Jones won the Carrera Cup, but he'd already done that before Adelaide.
Then there was George Martin - aka Jorge Martin - getting the job done in MotoGP.
But there was no PG this week, so we roped in Melinda Price, and we may keep her. Tell us what you think!

This week’s Auto Action RevLimiter is all about looking forward. We are looking forward to the final round of the Supercars this weekend. We’re looking forward to the McLaren letting Oscar Piastri off the leash.
We’re looking forward to return of Targa Tasmania… and really, we’re looking forward to more motorsport.
But we also have to look backwards at the crowning of the three-time NASCAR Champ, a new Xfinity Series winner, the fastest drag strip in Australia and the new that Tickford is not actually for sale…

Max Verstappen likely sealed his fourth F1 World Championship with a storming drive from 17th on the grid to win a wet Brazilian Grand Prix. Lando Norris still has a mathematical chance, but that is it. Alpine also set up a $50m payday with dual podiums, elevating it a few spots on the constructors' battle.
MotoGP has also experienced some weather events, with the deadly floods around Valencia forcing the final rounds of the series to find a new home. Jorge Martin is looking at his first MotoGP title, aided by a fall from Francesco Bagnaia, but the fight is alive after one of the greatest races in history.
Then there’s NASCAR, with the Championship 4 decided for both the Cup Series and Xfinity Cup, with punches thrown at the end of the Xfinity race at Martinsville, and the promise of more fireworks this weekend in Phoenix as scores look to get settled in the final race of 2024.
Plenty is going on, so join Andrew Clarke, Bruce WIlliams and Paul Gover on this week's Auto Action RevLimiter podcast.

All the major motorsports championships around the world are closing in on their finals rounds, and all are trimming the contenders. Supercars and MotoGP are down to two, F1 is also maybe two but that is a stretch, and NASCAR still has eight… but only for one more week.
So how did it all happen?
We debrief Supercars on the Gold Coast and wins to Cam Waters and Brodie Kostecki, but a shocker to Chaz Mostert has left that title fight down to only Triple Eight teammates Will Brown and Broc Feeney with one round remaining. Waters said he wanted to be a nuisance, and he was.
Lando Norris and Max Verstappen clashed again in F1, and this time the powers that be ruled a line in the sand under Verstappen’s petulant behaviour and driving standards and the F1 drivers told the flawed Dutchman they are over it…
We’re loving the NASCAR Playoffs and can’t wait for the cut throat Supercars Finals next year, but what would have happened if the series was using our Finals system as proposed weeks ago? Hint – Chaz is out of the running, but Brodie ain’t.

We chat briefly about MotoGP and the stunning ride by young Aussie Senna Agius in Moto2 – our next motorcycle racing hero.
Then things get heated when Bruce tries to defend this year’s Bathurst 1000 and 'drive as fast as you can' as a strategy, which PG and Andrew didn’t think was a strategy. Then we peeled him off the roof and closed

Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood dominated the 2024 Bathurst 1000 in the #1 Chiko Camaro. Kostecki was back to his brilliant best, and Hazelwood was the best of the co-drivers.
Red Bull Ampol Racing filled the minor spots on the podium in the fastest ever Bathurst 1000, with only one Safety Car at a convenient, for some, 29 laps from home - or one full tank of fuel.
Plenty of other stuff went down too.
We have a little bit of other news in #NASCAR and #Sprintcars and the change to our shareholders list, with Betty Klimenko coming on board as an equal partner to Bruce and Andrew.

This week on the Auto Action RevLimiter we reflect on the career of Daniel Ricciardo, who deserved a lot more respect than Red Bull showed him. We also look at Renault shutting down its engine program and what that may mean for the Alpine team. And what about the anti-trust? Does this all open the door for Andretti?
What is happening with the Ford engines for Bathurst? When did we all go there for the first time, and what has changed since then, aside from many more potholes on the road?
Plus, we’ve got the latest news from NASCAR, World Rally, and Speedway, which is ramping up again now that the weather is better.
And we also look at the life of an all-round good bloke and
We’ve got a little bit of NASCAR and SVG, along with the

Lando Norris has asked for the Jaws music after dominating the Singapore Grand Prix and closing the gap to Max Verstappen to only a fraction more than two race wins. The title hunt is alive, and with Oscar Piastri ready to take points off the reigning champ, it may only be a matter of races before Norris snatches the lead in the drivers' title, just as McLaren did to the constructors' championship last week… which is just as well, because there are only six races left now.
We look at the impressive young Argentinian Franco Colapinto while reflecting on Daniel Ricciardo, who may have just driven his final Grand Prix… much to our disgust.
A bit of Supercars with the news that Mark Skaife has resigned from the RACE and Supercar Boards, leaving the sport open to negotiate a new TV deal without any conflicts. We reflect on his time and his critical role in getting Supercars to where it is today.
And what about those Ford engines? Will they be OK for Bathurst? Are there really GT3 cranks heading down under?
We’ve got a little bit of NASCAR and SVG, along with the World Rally Championship and more on the latest edition of the Auto Action RevLimiter.

It is a news story more than 20 years in the making, but the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world, as opposed to the manufacturer of the largest vehicles in the world, has signed up to go Supercars racing. Toyota joins Australia’s largest motor racing series in 2026 with Walkinshaw Andretti United and one other yet-to-be-identified team for at least five seasons.
But what does it really mean? Auto Action’s Bruce Williams was at the launch, and he dissected the meaning of life with Andrew Clarke and Toyota’s unofficial spokesperson, Paul Gover.
We talk about Oscar Piastri’s win in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and how he has helped take McLaren back to the top of the F1 pile. But what happened to Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez, and where was Lando Norris and Max Verstappen?
Then it is Supercars and the Sandown 478, previously known as the Sandown 500 and Red Bull Ampol Racing domination and a podium to everyone’s favourite team, PremiAir Racing. But what was happening to those Ford engines on the eve of Bathurst? How would they do 1000 km when they can’t even get through a drive day?
Plus a little bit of NASCAR and IndyCar…
