We are back with another Movie Game Night and this time we decided to bring our old roommates on the show! Back in 2008 we all lived in a house in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis and it was a very fun time in our lives. Many nights were spent across the street at the Green Mill as we procrastinated on figuring out what life path each of us should take. This was a great excuse to all hang out and play some games.

Every year we take the Academy Award’s Best Picture Winner and devote an episode to it. This last year’s winner was the Frances McDormand-led road trip romp, Nomadland. Although a little delayed, the Academy Awards are finally here! And that means we have to give our predictions!

Before we make our predictions we do our normal intro where we discuss the last movies we’ve watched, what we’ve been streaming and our favorite recent meals.

We had a great time making our predictions and we had very different answers this year. Excited to see who gets the most correct!

We’re going to play the Grouchies again! We’ve made another wager where whoever gets the most categories correct gets to pick a movie for the loser to watch. Both of us have won once so this is the rubber match!

We are also going to make a wager with our Patrons: Whichever Patron gets the most correct predictions can choose for us to do an episode on a movie of their choosing or they can come onto the podcast and do a Top 5 Draft with us! We will be posting the ballots on Patreon and our social media, just fill out the ballots and send them back to us before the Oscars start! 25 years ago Adam Sandler gave us the big-hearted, volatile hockey player turned golfer, Happy Gilmore. To celebrate this momentous occasion we brought back Cash Campbell, who just so happens to be an avid golfer and grew up loving this film as much as us!

We enjoyed hearing Cash’s takes on this golf comedy classic. There are some quotes we use in everyday life and many that are used every time we’re on the golf course. We also have a very special message in the middle of the pod by a very special guest.
