The Avid Indoorsmen

It’s been a while since we did a Movie Game Night and we decided to bring the ladies back! We had a MGN Ladies Night last year with some of our great friends from college and had so much fun that we wanted to do it all over again. Big thanks to Jessie, Molly and Kelsey for playing some games with us.

Enjoy!

Maybe you saw the reunion of Woody Harrelson, Wesley Snipes and Rosie Perez at the Oscars…it was the biggest thing that happened that night…the reason they got together was because White Men Can’t Jump just turned 30 years old.

Our good buddies Niko Del Rey and Jules Cruz from The Filharmonic have just started a basketball podcast called Full Court Fresh. We told them to pick a basketball movie that’s having an anniversary and we could do a little cross promotion and that’s how we decided on White Men Can’t Jump. They have some super fun, hot takes in this, much like the takes on their new podcast.

We end this episode with a Starting 5 and our Patrons can watch us draft our Top 5 Favorite Athlete Cameos.

Enjoy!

We finally got our good buddy on the show, Mr Chris Chatham! Most of you who follow Home Free are familiar with Chatham as he ends up in a lot of Home Free behind the scenes videos. Super talented and funny dude that just so happens to love Grosse Pointe Blank. It is celebrating 25 years of existence and since it’s a favorite of Chatham’s, it seemed like the perfect time for him to make his Avid Indoorsmen Debut.

We end with a Starting 5 and our Patrons can watch us draft our Top 5 Movie Hitmen.

We were thrilled when we heard CODA won the Oscar for Best Picture! Mostly because we knew we wouldn’t have to do an episode on The Power Of The Dog. Also because it is a beautiful story that touched our hearts. We had a blast breaking down this Best Picture Winner.

This episode ends with a fun game of Last Man Stanton and our Patrons can watch us draft our Top 5 Movie Audition Scenes.

Last year we both lost the Oscars competition we play every year, The Grouchies, to Carolyn Schult and she made us watch Strictly Ballroom. We decided since it’s having a 30th anniversary that we would just do a whole episode on it!

Since this movie revolves around dancing, we brought back a guest who dances in competitions all over the world, our buddy Chris Rupp. We got some great dancing insights and shared a bunch of laughs during this episode.

We conclude with an Imitation Game and our Patrons can watch us draft our Top 5 Dancing Movies.

We love Liar Liar and it just so happened to be Jim Carrey’s first leading role playing a somewhat normal person. It came out 25 years ago already and we brought back someone who enjoys this movie as much as we do, one of our favorite humans, Broadway/TV/Film Actor Benny Elledge. Had too much fun with this one.
