Chris Borland is a former American football linebacker who played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Chris is also one of the first NFL players to retire from professional football early in his career due to concerns over head injuries inherent to the sport.

Since leaving the NFL, Chris has been raising awareness about the effect that head trauma can have on one's short-term and long-term brain activity.
