Episode #12 of The Awareness Revolution Podcast is about Colin Kaepernick. I was very hesitant to dedicate an entire podcast episode to him because it's really just a trivial matter that the media blew out of proportion. However, the information surrounding this issue is something that everyone should be aware of because otherwise we'll be victims as the left prey on our ignorance.
Colin Kaepernick famously took a knee during the national anthem of his NFL games to take a stand against the police brutality of black people. Others followed him and did the same thing. If only he would have stood up against all police brutality, inlcuding white people.
My personal view is that it's racist for him to only oppose police brutality against black people, just as it would be racist for a white guy to specifically oppose police brutality of only white people. If we think everyone should be treated equally then we must treat everyone equally. We must hold everyone to the same standards. We can't have rules that apply to white people but not black people. That would be as racist as having white people drink from one water fountain and black people drink from another.
I desire to make peace from this subject, not war. I think that the media is playing the masses, and many people are falling for it. I hope to illuminate this propaganda so that less people fall victim to it. Yes, I believe police brutality is a problem. It's a problem for people of all color, including white. I have personally been a victim of police brutality on more than one occassion. I'm sure if I would have defended myself in the slightest way they would have killed me.
To support the theory of there being systemic racism among police officers who target black people and assault them, they cite the statistic of blacks being 6 times as likely to be shot by a cop than a white person is. However, they leave out the fact that blacks disproportionately commit violent crimes, including murdering a police officer. This alone explains the statistics.
If you have a job preventing theft at a store, and most of the theives are black, something would be wrong if you caught mostly white people instead of black. If blacks are doing a disproportionate amount of stealing, they should get caught a disproportionate amount of times stealing.
A few other points made in this episode are:
Blacks make up about 13% of the population, but are responsible for 52% of the murders.
45% of murder offenders are white, while they're 77% of the population.
