Drea shares how she conceived her first child easily in her mid-thirties; then later—after years of being vegan—began a difficult stretch of recurrent early pregnancy loss in her early 40s. Feeling dismissed by doctors who said “it’s your age” and offered little support, she became an empowered self-advocate -- exploring progesterone, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, dietary shifts, and deeper emotional/spiritual healing.

A major thread throughout the episode is the relationship between food + fertility. After years of retrievals and transfers, Carly made the difficult decision to pursue gestational surrogacy.
