- Call Sign White Lily: World’s first female fighter-pilot becomes Hitler’s Worst Nightmare.
A breathtaking story of female accomplishment, lost-in-time for 60+ years. A teenage Russian schoolgirl shatters the norms of a male-dominated military society.
First ridiculed, then revered she completed 268 missions, Lilia Litvyak registered 37 solo and assisted kills. A worldwide record that still stands today. Along the way, she reads poetry, picks wildflowers, falls in love with squadron commander, Alexi Solomatin, and is shot from the skies 7 days before her 22nd birthday.
The approachable BACKSTORY and engaging DEEP DIVE reader analysis poses questions about Current Norms vs Future Realities, Societal Discord vs Societal Willi, and Benevolent Socialism vs Social Democracy.
