Welcome Back!

Today's episode we talk IVs. IV are hidden stats in pokemon that can be a big difference in whether or not your pokemon will be able to survive an attack or not or get a KO or not. If you're anything like me, IVs were extremely confusing and we try to explain it in a way that will hopefully make sense and help you plan as you build your team. Here is our episode on IVs.

We are having a blast with this series and would appreciate it if you left us a five star review no matter where you're listening from. If you found any of this helpful, fun, or entertaining then please spread the love of our Podcast as far and as wide as you can!

IV stat calculation from serebii.net:
IV = ((Math.Ceiling(Stat / Stat) - 5) * 100 / Level Value) - 2 * Base Stat – Math.Floor(Effort Points / 4)

As for the HP Individual Value equation, here it is without edit:

Hit Point IV = (( Stat - Level - 10 ) * 100/Level ) - 2 * BaseStat - EV/4

Of course, we face the same problem as the other equation, so here's the edited version:

Hit Point IV = ((Stat – Level Value - 10) * 100 / Level Value ) - 2 * BaseStat – Math.Floor(EV / 4)

Welcome Back!

Today's episode we talk about EVs or Effort Values. We talk about what they are and what they do in the world of Pokemon. Effort Values are super important, especially if you want to even start thinking about playing online. I wish someone had taught them to me way earlier when I started playing the game. Might've helped facing Cynthia and the likes. Either way that's why we are here. To teach you all that you need to know to get started with EVs.
