John Gill's eschatology and its challenge to us moderns.

While this isn't a review or endorsement, I just wanted to comment on my enjoyable experience and thoughts on this book so far.

The ancients had the games. Today, we have sports, books, movies, and video games. All of it—entertaining. All of it—easily abused. But where is the sin? Is it the "thing" or man's approach to the "thing"?

What is left of the imago Dei in man following the fall of Adam?

What are the three uses of the law, and how does each relate to the law/gospel distinction?

Is the gospel a "new law" which we must obey in order to inherit "final justification"?

Is the Second London Confession (1677/89) a two-kingdom document?

Understanding the nature of good works helps us to understand why the Reformed could simultaneously praise & condemn the works of the heathen.

We shouldn't check the doctrine of the Trinity at the door of our biblical studies.
