Dan Soder is on the move with his Golden Retriever Of Comedy Tour, and St. Louis is one of the stops he is most excited about. The popular stand-up comedian, actor, and podcaster will take the stage at The Factory in Chesterfield on Saturday, November 22. Doors open at 6 pm and the show begins at 7 pm. The event is all ages and tickets are available at dansoder.com. Fans can also watch his special On The Road on YouTube ahead of the show.
Before the tour hits St. Louis, Soder joined The Mox and Chuck on The Barn for a fun and wide-ranging conversation. Immediately settling into discussing what he loves about performing in the area. Soder praised St. Louis for its loyal comedy audiences and joked about the city’s ability to show up in any type of weather. That appreciation came through as he previewed his Factory performance and talked about what makes the region a great stop for stand-up.
Sports always seem to find their way into a Dan Soder conversation, and his chat to The Barn was no different. The group reminisced about the St. Louis Rams and the era of the Greatest Show on Turf. Soder shared his mixed feelings about the team leaving, as well as his admiration for how St. Louis fans rallied around the XFL. They also compared their own sports loyalties. Soder sticks with the Giants and the 49ers, while The Barn follows the Bills and the Packers. Soder noted that if his team ever moved, he would prefer choosing a new one rather than following a relocated franchise.
Soder and the crew also explored how comedy continues to evolve. He reflected on the impact of podcasts, which have opened huge opportunities while also changing how audiences discover stand-up. He talked about the decline of comedy films, shifting media habits, and his admiration for icons like Bernie Mac and Norm Macdonald. Through it all, Soder emphasized the importance of staying true to the craft of stand-up even as formats around it change.
With his St. Louis show approaching, Soder left listeners eager to catch his performance at The Factory. His stop at The Barn offered a thoughtful and entertaining look at his life on tour, his love for stand-up, and his connection to the city. The Golden Retriever Of Comedy Tour rolls on, and St. Louis is next in line for a night of sharp jokes, strong stories, and classic Dan Soder energy.

Justin and Calvin from Not Waving But Drowning (with Calvin also representing Last Flight Home) join the show as we celebrate the Surfside Presents: Bob-A-Rino’s Class of 2003 Reunion Show happening November 29th at Off Broadway in St. Louis. This episode dives deep into the early 2000s Farmington and St. Louis music scenes, the friendships that shaped them, and the full-circle moments that bring these musicians back together decades later.
We talk through the evolution of their bands, the recording of new material, and what it’s like revisiting the sound and energy they built in their youth. Justin and Calvin share stories about playing with iconic bands, memories of Bob’s legendary mixed-genre shows, and the magic of a small-town scene that punched far above its weight. From Rosner’s to the Park Hills Bowling Alley, from pre-internet tour networking to the tight-knit relationships that formed on the road, this episode captures an era that refuses to fade.
We explore Last Flight Home’s recent recording sessions, and their return to the stage.
Justin reflects on the early days of struggling to book shows and eventually becoming one of the scene’s most effective promoters, proving how networking and hustle turned into lifelong relationships and opportunities.
The conversation moves through memories of Papa Roach, Soulfly, and the chaotic but beautiful early-2000s scene that saw hardcore, emo, indie, punk, and metal bands all sharing the same stage.
Finally, the guys officially announce the Bob-A-Rino’s Class of 2003 Reunion Show featuring:
This is more than a reunion show - it’s a celebration of a scene, a time, and a community that shaped many musical journies.

New Orleans’ own Cowboy Mouth—the self-described “southern gospel revival without the religion”—are bringing their high-energy rock ‘n’ roll celebration back to St. Louis this Saturday, November 8th, for a one-night-only show at the Old Rock House. The stop marks part of their Cover Yo’ Azz album tour and coincides with their 35th anniversary—a milestone for one of America’s most enduring and electrifying live bands. Tickets available here.
For those who’ve never witnessed the frenzy firsthand, Cake Magazine captured it best:
“On a bad night they will blow the roof off the place. On a good night Cowboy Mouth will save your soul.”
Frontman Fred LeBlanc, along with John Thomas Griffith, Brian “Bruiser” Broussard, and Frank Grocholski, have built their reputation not just on loud guitars and big choruses—but on turning every show into a life-affirming party that leaves the audience breathless and grinning. And this weekend’s St. Louis stop promises exactly that.
A New Album, 11 Years in the Making
Earlier this year, Cowboy Mouth dropped their first album of newly recorded material in over a decade—Cover Yo’ Azz, a rowdy and reverent collection of cover songs that honors some of rock’s most influential artists. The ten-track record reimagines tunes by R.E.M., The Who, Queen, Frank Sinatra, Cher, The Replacements, Fats Domino, and even Hootie & the Blowfish, featuring a guest appearance by Hootie’s Mark Bryan on guitar.
The band breathes New Orleans grit and charm into each song, turning classics like “The Real Me” (The Who) and “Can’t Hardly Wait” (The Replacements) into punchy, modern rock anthems. The album is available now on Spotify
and SoundCloud
.
Critics have been quick to applaud the band’s approach. Mystic Sons praised it as “a joyride dressed in ripped denim,” while York Calling called the album “charismatic, soulful, and expertly performed.” Americana Highways perhaps said it best:
“Performed with expertise, finesse, and style... the album summed up is a hoot.”
Fred LeBlanc Joins The Tippy Jo Show
Ahead of the St. Louis concert, Cowboy Mouth’s larger-than-life frontman Fred LeBlanc joined Tippy on The Tippy Jo Show, part of The Barn Media’s podcast lineup. The conversation dove deep into the band’s legacy, their Louisiana roots, and Fred’s signature onstage energy that transforms every Cowboy Mouth performance into something between a rock concert and a revival meeting.
True to form, Fred’s humor and humanity shone through the interview—equal parts laughter, storytelling, and that unmistakable “let it go” spirit that has powered Cowboy Mouth since their debut album Are You With Me? in 1992.
35 Years Strong—and Still Saving Souls One Show at a Time
After more than three decades, half a million albums, and thousands of concerts, Cowboy Mouth remains a band that must be experienced live. Their setlists mix longtime fan favorites like “Jenny Says,” “Everybody Loves Jill,” and “I Believe” with new covers from Cover Yo’ Azz—each played with raw enthusiasm and a message of joy, connection, and cathartic release.
Fred LeBlanc sums it up best:
“For me, it’s about living the dream I’ve had since I was a child—playing drums and singing my heart out for an audience that’s just as enthused to be there as I am.”
So, St. Louis—get ready. This Saturday night at the Old Rock House, Cowboy Mouth isn’t just coming to play. They’re coming to shake the walls, lift your spirits, and, if you’re lucky, maybe even save your soul.
