The Barracks Party

Common sense isn't soo common these days... welcome to another episode of The Barracks Party! This week we discuss the lack of common sense in the military (and gaming). Gonna need a stiff drink for this one.

Air Force DFAC was shut down due to a rat problem, and the post leadership tried to keep this one swept under the rug. You mean the Airforce has bad leadership AND condemned chow halls? I couldn't believe it!

An update from a topic from last episode, as an army national guardsman who smuggled immigrants in Texas gives his reasons on why and also says he was embarrassed by his MOS. Dude, you know you can choose your MOS, right?

Army reservist scammed Gold Star family members of millions by coercing them into investing into a fraudulent investment account, and was actually gambling the money for himself. He targeted mostly women and non-english speaking families. It takes a special scum bag to do this to your own brothers and sisters in arms.

Take Two announced a massive wave of layoffs last week despite stating they were doing all they can to avoid them. Basically, they were doing all they can to keep their executives rich

Rapper Shaggy talks about how he found his unique voice in his music, by impersonating his Marine Corps drill instructors. Shaggy was a marine? AND he was a Gulf War vet? Hell yeah!

It's another banger this week on the Barracks Party! So grab your buddies, grab a drink and happy Friday! Welcome to the party!

It's another fun week at The Barracks Party as we get very wildly inappropriate. It's also a sad episode because it's our first without Doc, but he shall return from his vacation in about 9 months.

We got an update on the former army reservist who married conjoined twin Abbey Hansel. Turns out his ex wife filed suit claiming that his daughter isn't actually his daughter. Damn

A man who was arrested in Key West for publicly jerking his salmon outside of a bar that wouldn't let him in, is a Navy Diver. I guess that's one way to say you're a Seaman.

An Army National Guardsman was arrested after a highspeed chase in Texas, after he was trying to escort illegal immigrants over the border. To top it off, he did this in a government vehicle. That's gonna be another training class in the future, guarantee it....

A man has been hit with federal fraud charges after claiming to be a marine, Iraq war vet and a POW. He was collecting VA disability and education benefits and was only caught after filing for an increase. If true, what a wild stolen valor story to claim to be a POW.

Suicide Squad dropped it's first season earlier this month, and the reception was all but great. Players are claiming this is the final nail in the coffin for this dying live service game. More details in the episode!

Not a lot happening this week kids, but we are still here for the party! So grab your beverages, grab your friends and welcome to the party!

It's Doc's going away party at this week's Barracks Party! It's a sad day since doc will be gone almost all year, but we shall make the best of it. So join us in sending Doc off with a bang and don't be sad, he will be back!

A former Army specialist was in the news this week as it became public that he married one of the conjoined twins from the hit TLC reality show. And of course we all have the same question, what are arguments like?

Enlisted soldiers are forced to pay for their food or starve as the new kiosks rolled out and quickly ran out of food. Almost like the Army SHOULD have done what the Air Force did, eh? But hey, common sense amirite?

Camp Pendelton marines are being "encouraged" to fix their own barracks rooms in light of the growing work orders not being fixed. This includes fixing holes, mold, small repairs, etc. It's funny, they don't trust troops in the barracks with a toaster, but they'll let them use power tools? I can't even.

Twitch officially bans streams that focus on "intimate body parts" after a streamer is going viral for streaming Fortnite on her butt. How's that work? Green screen booty shorts. Gotta give props to the creativity honestly.

It's a fun filled episode this week on the Barracks Party! So grab your beverage, grab your controllers, and welcome to the party!

Subscribe to his OakleyFans! This week we welcome the Regiment COO, Andrew aka Oakley! Join us as we discuss Meta VR headsets getting hacked and locking players into a fake VR environment. Just take the headset off..... Speaking of VR, the army is testing its new augmented reality equipment with select combat units. Ready Player One bout to get reeeeeal weird. Former activision CEO Bobby Kotick is rumored to be in talks to purchase Tik Tok. And if his track record is any indication of his qualifications to be another CEO, we'd rather s**t in our hands and clap. A soldier was charged for selling classified information to a Chinese spy and said "he wanted to be Jason Bourne"..... It's always the reservists. It's a fun filled and girthy episode this week folks, so grab your coffee, grab your beer, grab your Gfuel and have fun at the party!
