  • Episode 219 Being real about the Fentanyl Crisis

In today’s episode I bring my babe Hails back to chat with me about the Fentanyl crisis here in Canada.

This is such a hard topic to cover and I do not claim to know a fucking thing but I really want to start the conversation.

What is happening in this country that is moving the needle to extreme crisis?

Are the current measures in place really it? Are they really helping over the last decade?

What are we doing to help now?

It’s so sad to see people being captured by this substance and offered little to no support.

I’m not sure the policies with safe supply and harm reduction have really made a dent in this crisis.

Some of the policies being put at the borders may be helping but what happens when it’s made here and distributed?!

Anyone have any idea how we can help this crisis not become wildly out of control?!

  • Episode 218 Being real about Grief

Today’s guest episode is about navigating life through the loss of a spouse. The grief that comes with, the changes/challenges you face as a single parent & how it’s important to work through the uncomfortable and support those living this experience.

One I know Courtney doesn’t wish on anyone as she unfortunately has learned first hand what it’s like to lose a husband, the father of her children and have to navigate that while going to school chasing her dream.

December 20th, 2022 their lives changed forever when Pete was in an accident he unfortunately lost his life from.

Courtney walks me through that day of the accident, the following weeks and how the years have been as she moved along this journey to finding parts of her old self.

She shares incredible insight on how couples should have the hard talks about death and what each other would want if the unfortunate time comes when a funeral needs to be planned.

Get to know what’s important to them and try hard to not let the little things like socks on the floor get to you because at the end of the day it’s minor.

She blew me away when she said one of the things she holds onto are the survivors who got to walk away and live their lives. 4 people could have been lost that day but 3 got to go home and she finds the beauty in knowing they have a chance at life.

Told you she is extremely selfless person.

Now Pete. In memory of you my dude.

Pete was such a kind yet quick witted guy. Laid back but also such a hard worker. He immediately took on the father role for Courtney’s daughter and watching them get married and have their son was truly such a beautiful story to watch.

I feel absolutely honoured to have captured that love for them over the years as they allowed me into these special moments of their lives. From

literally day one of them I began my photography journey and I just knew then, their story was going to beautiful.

I’m really sorry and sad to see it won’t be forever but Pete will never be forgotten and he will live on through his memory and the family who loves him so much ❀

Please have a listen and make sure to check in on our friends babes.

  • Episode 217 Being real about the Covid Vax

In today’s episode, my wonderful guest Jamie walks me through her experience getting the Covid BEEEEP.

Leading up to it, as we all know, Ontario was one of the most dystopian places here in Canada. Isolation and fear was at an all time high for many people, on all sides, with very little ability to converse openly about it.

Due to this inability to talk to your medical team or anyone about what you were about to get was very difficult. A lot of people went in having zero idea what could happen. And some fearing the worst.

Jamie had a balanced approach about getting it and even though she did move forward with it, she accepted everyone had a different choice and respected that.

It wasn’t something she wanted to do, but to keep her family afloat she had to. At the time she also worked in a school where pressure to get it was high and she was being watched.

After receiving the first one, some things were starting to act a bit weird. After the second one she passed out
and then she got covid and her ailments became much MUCH worse.

To the degree where she has to focus on her health non stop to prevent further damage and has to plan and sacrifice certain things, like working, to be able to ensure she lives.

Join us today and she walks me through what being an Ontarian during the pandemic was like and what led her to getting the BEEP, how it went down and what she is dealing with today.

Keeping it vague since I’ve been getting community guidelines for this episode
apparently it’s 2022 all over again.

  • Episode 216 Being Real about Botox Injury Part 3

Oh she’s just “panicking” seems to be the common answer among all three of the guests in this series.

Laura decided to give Botox a try at the beginning of January and was in emergency under a month later with doctors who saying all her tests came back clear and she must just be panicking.

I am not sure how this is such a miss with all of these experiences and how looping back to Botox isn’t even a thought. Specially when these women are coming to you stating it could be.

Join myself and Laura as she shares the lead up to her appointment and the medical chaos train she was taken on.

One she is currently healing from, on the mend and ready to share her story so more women have informed consent!

  • Episode 215 Being Real about Botox Injury Part 2

Another amazingly strong woman sharing her experience with Botox so more women are informed in case they are ever in the same position as she was/still is.

Stephanie is a boy mom, a dog mom and an absolute ray of sunshine despite being thrown through the ringer and back (putting it lightly) by a procedure/product that she had been receiving for years.

The healing journey and reactions for everyone is going to look different based on each individual but one key take away I frequently here is time, support and gratitude.

In their darkest hours these beauties see the light in life still, the reasons to keep pushing although some days they feel like they are dying.

And even worse they are gaslit by professionals around all because it’s not something well studied or talked about.

So we need to talk about it.

Stephanie’s story is one I really hope we stop hearing because no one deserves to have to deal with this. Everyone has the right to informed consent.

Make sure no matter what you do babes, you do it informed.

  • Episode 214 Being Real about Botox Injury Part 1

I am joined by an amazing woman, Amanda who shares her awful experience with Botox.

Like most women, she wasn’t informed of the risks that can happen from using these products. Risk that can arise due to various reasons and each persons story/reaction is unique yet eerily similar in some ways.

After working hard to find an answer as to why she couldn’t walk, she found out that she had MULTIPLE strokes around the same time she received dysport and was sent spiraling on a medical train wreck.

The hospital had told her she had a migraine.

How did this not get linked together!?! How isn’t it even a consideration?!

Can someone smarter than me explain this to me like I’m 5 please?

    1. Product has Black Box warning.

    2. Patient reacts poorly.

    3. Do all tests to prove it’s nothing else.

    4. Couldn’t be the Botox.

    5. But refer to 1?! đŸ€”

Have a listen to this very informative, raw and real talk with Amanda and her experience with Botox so you are more informed of something is to happen ❀

  • Episode 213 Being Real with Open Minds

I am so happy to welcome Christopher back on the show to catch up what’s new for him and our country.

As the host of the Open Minds Podcast, he spends tons of time talking to Canadians to get a feel for what’s happening.

We chat about so much as usual when we collab but really focus on the progression of some hot topics like DEI, MAiDS, abortion & the speed at which our current administration is all over the place and doesn’t look like it’s picking up anytime soon.

But coming together to chat about these nuanced topics is step one towards hopefully betterment.

Leading by example and trying our best to be balanced while holding lines to our values and morals.

Which is very hard in the online world sometimes!

Join myself and Christopher on this awesome episode available on Rumble, Apple & Spotify!

  • Episode 212 Being real about Female Friendships

So excited to have two of my bestest with me to chat about female friendships from childhood to adulthood in todays episode.

Joining the show for her first time, I was so excited to have Brie on to chat about this topic specifically since our friendship has been so eye opening to both of us in such a great way!

& we know I have to eventually drag all the girlies on the show đŸ„°

One big topic we circle around is red flags đŸš©

One of the biggest red flags we all see are those energy suckers!

I feel as we age we want to surround ourselves with people on the same mission as us. Different destinations but inspiring missions none the less.

Healing and being open and growing is so much harder when those around you do no see the world the same or respect you for having a different view.

We also chat about green flags too!

You’ll have to tune in to hear more đŸ„° Available on Rumble, Spotify & Apple! 🎧

I cannot believe we are here 😍 Season 9 has begun 🎉

As previously mentioned, Keeping up with Canada is now going to be on YouTube only along with an Internet Insanity series where they’ll be weekly recaps to Canadian happenings and online drama!

This season of the podcast I really wanted to get back to my roots of human experiences so this split will allow me to do this đŸ„č

I’m so very excited for you guys to join me and my amazing guest this season as we share our experiences, opinions and thoughts while we fight for informed consent through shared stories.

  • Episode 210 What in the Actual Internet?! Part 10 These people have kids?

Season 8 finale is out and I’m so so grateful this season ended with one of my best.

Since we protect those we love, I dove into the world of Tik Tok to share some disasters with Hails so she doesn’t have too!!

Only one travelled over to IG so most of this was new info for her and of course she doesn’t disappoint 😂

We talk about problematic Tik Tok parents like Nurse Hannah (17 diapers mom)
. we talk about the resilient Jenkins family who make their kids sleep in the kitchen and keep expanding
we talk about Ash Trevino, the inmate hopper who acts like a teenager & seems like a predator at best and a criminal at worst, and then we unfortunately chat about the couple who was sentenced to 100 years in prison for assaulting young special need boys.

These people need to be stopped and CPS definitely needs to get involved and get these families the support and help they need.

And fore the love of fuck please keep your kids out of your monetized content. Be better at creating don’t exploit your kids. Period.
