The Bears return to DC almost a year after their season was torpedoed by allowing an improbable Hail Mary to the Commanders. Not only did this end the Bears season and firmly put Eberflus in the ejector seat, but it also started the controversy that the Bears may have taken the wrong quarterback. This time, Caleb and the Bears take care of business and beat the Commanders on a last second field goal. We discuss the game, the poor all-around officiating, the seemingly narrative-driven analysis in the booth, and how Ben Johnson seems to be getting things to click 5 games into his tenure.

We start the show be re-capping the loss to the Lions (After Further Review). While the defense was abysmal, we did see progress in the offense, especially in the play of Caleb Williams. Still a ways to go, but this was definitely in the right direction.
We also discuss the serious roster problems on the team, and the injuries that make it even worse. It's going to be tough for the Bears to stack wins this season.

Before we get to the upcoming game, we have to face a sad reality: the Packers look really good. Two games in a row, the Packers have easily defeated two playoff teams from last year.
We then re-visit the opening loss to the Vikings, now that some time has passed, and give our "After Further Review" thoughts.

Oh my. The Bears give up a double digit lead at home and lose to the Vikings to start the 2025 season. But losing to the Vikings was not the problem, it was how it happened and the problems that exposed. We discuss the play of Caleb Williams, the roster put together by Poles, the decisions made by Ben Johnson, and try to make sense of what happened in this soul-crushing week 1 loss.

Context matters: It's pre-season, the Bills did not play many of their starters, and their organization is at a different place than the Bears. However, we saw many reasons for optimism in the Bears 38-0 win over Buffalo. Great throws from Caleb, rookies contributing, obvious coaching upgrades on both sides; we discuss all this and more!

Football is back! Almost...and sort of...We are here to discuss the 1st half of the Bears first preseason game, hosting Miami on the lakefront. Many of the starters did not play (including Caleb Williams), and we discuss who stood out in the first 30 minutes of action this season.
We also look back at the week of practices, which, from media reports, were very intense and physical. This included some scrimmage with the Dolphins, where the Bears seemed to come out on top.
Thanks for listening! We're almost back to regular season football!

It's summer! So, there's not a lot of Bears news, and we don't want to make up stuff to talk about, so we decided to pull back on content this summer for all of our sakes!
