The Bearly Educated Podcast

The 2025 NFL Draft is underway! The Bears select Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick. We discuss the pick, what it may point to in Ben Johnson's offense, and what we'd like to see the Bears do with the second and third rounds (we recorded before those round selections had happened!). We also remember Bears legend and HOF tackle Steve McMichael.

It's been awhile, but we're back!! Ben Johnson has wasted no time in re-shaping the Bears into what he believes they need to be in order to maximize Caleb Williams and build from the trenches out. We discuss the moves made so far by Poles, and how much of it is the influence of Johnson.

For a season with higher expectations than what we experienced, with more frustration and heartbreak than we expected, the Bears close out the 2024 season beating Green Bay on the road, for the first time since 2018, on Virginia McCaskey's birthday! We're a little giddy and disorganized in our post-game reaction, and we tried to just focus on this game, and talk about the future and changes for next time.

Bear Down, Bears fans!! The losing streak is over!!!

We decided to skip breaking down the loss to San Fran, and get right to the GM. Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune dropped an article today that calls into question the decisions Poles has made, and whether or not he deserves to pick the next head coach. We discuss this and more!

The Bears were embarrassed by the 49ers, after a week of talk of optimism and change. Full system failure as the Bears lost before halftime. What went wrong? Is Poles seat getting hotter? Did Thomas Brown just ruin his shot at being the permanent head coach?

Chris is solo in this episode, as Mark has better boundaries and mental health.
