Note: Every month, I create and share a sound bath just for my paid Beautiful Dreamer Society Members. These offerings are currently open to everyone—free and paid. In the future, there will still be occasional events open to all.
“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star stuff.” (Carl Sagan)
I remember learning about atoms in the third grade. What I didn't learn was that atoms are 99% space—and so are we. Isn't that amazing? We seem so solid, but it's an illusion. This month’s sound bath is an invitation to explore that space—not just the space between atoms, but the space within you.
Trevor English says it this way:
Everyone in the world is made up of nothingness. While that may sound grim, it’s the truth.
In fact, everyone currently on earth, all 7.6 billion of us, we could all fit into the room you’re in right now. The entire human race, every single person, could all be compressed into a solid cube with the equivalent size of a sugar cube – all because we are made up of nothingness.
From the vast emptiness of atoms to the subtle energy fields within us, it’s not such a big leap. Imagine your body as a garden full of vibrant flowers. You tend your plants by watering them and removing the weeds. Reiki works similarly, clearing away energetic blockages and nourishing your soul's garden.
What is Reiki healing?
Reiki (pronounced as ray-key) is a Japanese healing technique that taps into the universal life force—the energy of unconditional love—to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The word itself translates to spiritual energy or universal life force. The essence of this transformative practice is directing the flow of this energy. Reiki can be directed toward people, animals, spaces, situations—anything that could benefit from healing energy.
At its core, Reiki healing revolves around the idea that we are not just physical beings but also vessels of energy. When this energy becomes blocked or imbalanced, it can manifest as physical ailments or emotional distress. Reiki acts as a catalyst for restoring harmony and balance within these energetic pathways. It helps the body to relax and heal. The reiki practitioner isn't "fixing" you, but instead, she channels universal healing energy to you so you can heal yourself, using the wisdom of your own body.
Often, a Reiki master will channel this energy through her hands, but it can also be carried in our voices and our intention.
Becoming a Reiki master has been a source of great joy—and a dream come true for me. I love to share this healing modality in one-to-one sessions, as well as in group settings.
In this month’s sound bath, I work with Cho Ku Rei, often called the power symbol. I channel its energy through my voice and instruments.
What does Cho Ku Rei Mean?
Cho Ku Rei is a Reiki symbol that means “place the power of the universe here.” It’s used to focus energy, clear excess energy, and invite fresh vitality.
I shared the image of it above, but when I work with it, I picture it as three-dimensional.
Some Benefits of Reiki
Reiki may bring about numerous healing benefits. No guarantees, of course, but here are just a few:
1. Physical Healing: By enhancing the flow of vital energy, Reiki can accelerate the body's natural healing process, alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and boost the immune system. It is sometimes used in hospitals for this purpose.
2. Emotional Balance: Reiki helps release emotional blockages and promotes emotional well-being by fostering a sense of inner peace, joy, and clarity.
3. Stress Reduction: The calming nature of Reiki allows for deep relaxation, reducing stress levels and promoting mental clarity.
4. Spiritual Growth: As Reiki clears energetic blockages, it opens up pathways for spiritual growth, self-discovery, and a deeper connection to yourself and the universe.
A word about the recording
This is my first time recording with two tracks, and I’m feeling proud. It wasn’t all that hard, but it’s one more technical barrier I’ve hurdled.
This sound bath is pure sound—no guided meditation at the beginning or end, as I sometimes include. Just lie down, relax, and receive.
I’d love to hear how it lands for you. It’s simple, layered, and full of intention—and I think it’s snazzy.
This is part of a monthly rhythm of sound baths offered to my Beautiful Dreamer Society members. For now, they’re open to all.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and listen!
With love and blessings,
Susan
