This technically would be episode 001.
I’ve started many podcasts. I’ve helped with many podcasts. This one is different (or supposed to be) in that I’m just sharing my thoughts and journey honestly. It’s not about giving advice or instruction, it’s just recording my journey and sharing pieces of it publicly.
Through my honesty and vulnerability, I hope to show growth in doing the work to become beneficial.
In this episode I’m sharing some reflections on my struggles of staying motivated to create art.
I ramble a little, critiquing aggressive, individualistic American culture and advocate for a slower, more intentional creative process rooted in Black cultural wisdom.
Highlighting how capitalism's demand for speed and overproduction harms our genuine creativity and community. A lot of this was inspired by a documentary I recently watched about the great Toni Morrison.
