True peace has the ability to allow us to live the life we desire. As a wife, mom of three, and full-time employee I am well aware of what it means to be everything to everyone who depend on me. I have come to understand that in order to have the ability to accept whatever comes at me and to react from a place of love and grace, my PEACE must be in place.

It continues to be a work in progress for me, but I can honestly say the rewards are evident and show quickly when my PEACE is in tact and is activated!!

Warrior woman, I see you…I know you will always do all you can, even when you don’t feel like it. So I challenge you to at least figure out what PEACE is for you, and engage it now so you continue to pour from a full cup 🙌🏾

Effective Communication is vital in the achievement of the plans and goals one has. Efficient Communication is definitely an art form, a skill set, that some may or may not possess. It is often stressed that communication is key, because through the exchange of giving and receiving information is where intentions, needs, wants and desires can be articulated and defuse confusion. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! My sincere hope is that regardless of what you are facing during this time, you are able to find at least one thing to be grateful for. We never know what may come our way and when, but we are capable of deciding how we receive, accept, and react to them. In a time when there seems to be more “bad” than good, more “wrong” than right, I am here to remind myself and you, that we are still here! That there are opportunities and chances to make the intentional decisions to see the best. What are YOU grateful for?!

If you are anything like me I have become who I am due to influences of others; my parents, family, friends, society…so on and so forth. However; at the ripe age of 41, I am coming into the alignment of my true Purpose and Passion. I am understanding more and more who I really have been called to be. I also understand that in finding who I am, she has to be nurtured through self-love and self-care, without guilt in doing it. So what about you? Who do you say you are? As a working momma to three incredible little humans I completely understand how it is easy to lose sight of who I am from time to time, because I tend to put my “responsibilities” before my self needs. However, I have also come to understand that I cannot pour from an empty cup. We must understand that there are different ways in which we can accomplish what is needed while not burning out AND without the guilt! So Warrior Woman, please be encouraged that YOU matter! That you too are deserving of being “taken care of”. But the first step is acknowledging and receiving it. So let’s start that today!

The topic today is about the loss of loved ones and handing the grieving process.

I truly believe that statement. Loss and Grief definitely fit into this category…until you have experienced it, you truly can’t grasp it. We all have our processes, but I implore you to keep moving forward even one little step everyday. Lean on those who love and support you! Please know that if you are in this club of having lost someone, you are NOT alone. I recently lost both of my parents (33 days apart), which has challenged me in a number of ways, but has also allowed me opportunities to grow. Please give yourself grace, love on those still here a little tighter, and if you’re like me I challenge you to live out their legacies 🦋

This represents 1 in 20 adults. • 16.5% of U.S. youth aged 6-17 experienced a mental health disorder in 2016 (7.7 million people) • 6.7% of U.S. adults experienced a co-occurring substance use disorder and mental illness in 2020 (17 million people). Planning is such a crucial step when it comes to taking action to fulfill our dreams, goals, and even bucket lists. As we head into the holidays and get closer to knocking on the door of a new year, I challenge you to start taking steps towards your hearts calling today. Please know that you don’t have to wait to make “new year resolutions”; by doing so you may be wasting precious time in the process. When we fail to plan we are truly planning to fail, because we are allowing things to just “happen”. So join me as we look at how we can take control and gain power over our thoughts, turning them into the plans we WILL put into action TODAY. Let’s go…because failure is NOT an option.

I have come to the realization that in order for me to fulfill all of my duties, responsibilities, and passions it is vital that I have a Village behind me. While mine is comprised of family, close friends, my therapists, my childcare providers, and those who help with my home; what you may need will be different. This week I dive into the importance of the support we all need and challenge you to build your own village TODAY, if you don’t already have one. Let’s go!!
