I encourage you to check out bestbusinesscoach.ca., because we have a lot of info there. Plus interviews with business experts.
But here's what I can share with you:
First, I have a 7-step startup roll-out formula for new products/services.
We also hired 7 different research teams to help us.
We went through 50+ years of scientific literature.
To figure out what are the success factors in business.
We found there are 8 critical success factors.
I am going to talk about both topics.
Also, you can go to www.bestbusinesscoach.ca to find out more.
The 7 step Roll-Out is:
1. Find a hot market.
Find a problem you can help solve.
Then identify stereotypes of people experiencing the problem.
They become your target market. Their problem is your problem you solve.
Always focus on the problem.
Find out the problem first.
Think about what problem you can solve from your home for someone.
Example:
"I am bored"
"I am hungry"
"I feel ugly"
Those are problems (for example).
Find a solution to a problem.
You can do 101 different things.
What problem so you solve?
2. Find or Create a Product/Service to sell.
One which solves the target problem.
3. Create a Promotion. Describing it & the Benefits.
4. Run a Test.
If online, then you want 1,000 - 5,000 web visitors.
It may vary.
If you find it hard to get 1,000 targeted web visitors.
You have to recognize it's a problem you need to solve.
Not just to test this idea, but you need volume to get sales.
It's how a marketing/sales funnel works.
You make an offer to 1,000 people.
100 show interest.
40 are serious.
10 people buy.
5. Analyze the Results.
6. If the results are good, then get another 20,000 visitors.
7. If the results are still good.
Scale and take care of business.
That is the 7-step rollout.
It's a cycle.
You'll likely be repeating the first five steps.
Finding a problem.
Then a product or service.
Then creating a promotion.
Running Tests
Analyze Results.
Repeat the cycle.
While learning as you go.
Once you have something & have a minimum # of orders.
Like 20 or 50 orders.
Then you need to focus on the 8 critical success factors for business.
We have more information at www.bestbusinesscoach.ca
I encourage you to take a look at these 8 critical success factors.
Because based on the research, these are the areas you need to focus on.
To survive over the long term.
In summary, the 8 Factors are
1. Self-efficacy
2. Market intelligence.

What you do depends on what you want to do.
What problem you want to help people solve.
That's the most important thing.
Figuring out the problem you want to solve.
Who you want to solve the problem for.
For example, people need housing.
You have a homeless person, or a rich one.
Or a family of 4.
