This week on the Best is Yet to Come, Pastor Brad Morgan continues speaking about "The Challenges and Opportunities of an Open Door." He begins by sharing some quotes from the book by John Ortberg, "God Has Placed before You an Open Door What Will You Do All the Places to Go How Will You Know." Revelation 3:7-8 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelations+3%3A7-8&version=NKJV) says,"... ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name." A door is a rich image. In this passage there is an open door, symbolic of boundless opportunities. God sets before you an open door, but not a finished script. God wants us to go through the open door. God requires us to go. Keep moving, don't be passive. If God has given you a dream or a vision, as you walk with the Lord he will begin to unfold it for you.
In the bible, many of the saints did not respond immediately, "I am ready." It is a process, in which the Lord's work in you will encourage.
God often shuts a door when He opens another. The door He shuts might seem to be good, but they are not the best. We have to be willing to transition with God. We have to be a doer of the Word. Pastor Brad continues to explain what God is saying in Revelation 3:7-12.
Keep moving, persevere - "Blessed is the man who perseveres, for he shall receive the crown of life."
