This week on the Best is Yet to Come, Pastor Brad Morgan begins a series on praise and worship. A definition of praise and worship is: express, approval or admiration, wonder mingled with esteem to glorify, to exalt and elevate. We praise God because we are commanded to. God's command is expressed in Psalms 150 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+150).
Praise also allows us to grow in our relationship to God. Without a thankful praising heart, we will not grow. Psalms 103:1-2 says, "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits". Be aware that the Devil will always try to block our time of harvest. We are not going under, we are going over! Jesus has gone before us, and He openly defeated the Devil, and He is going to bring victory in our life. Even when we do not feel like it we can praise the Lord. Psalms 22:3-5 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+22%3A3-5&version=NKJV). Psalms 63:1-3 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+63%3A1-4&version=NKJV)
As we offer up our praise to God, He begins to come right in the midst of our praise. Acts 16:18-35 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+16%3A18-35&version=NKJV).
