The verses begin with a multitude pressing about Jesus wanting to hear the word of God. When Jesus got into the boat to go fishing, we see that Jesus is concerned about those things that concern us. Fishing is what concerned these men. In verse 3 it is important that Jesus "sat down". He was offering rest. God wants you to relax and feel the peace of God. When the peace comes, there is a pause, and then you can hear God's speaking. In verse 5, God gives an instruction "launch out into the deep". The deep is something that is bigger than you are. Simon doubted at the command, but he went along with Jesus and let down his nets. Then the miracle happened and they caught a great number of fish. There were so many fish, that they needed the cooperation of another boat. You will need to work with others, work together and appreciate each others uniqueness and annointing.

There are many streams, and as we learn to walk together we learn that "those streams make glad."

God will cause people that are hungry to move and congregate together for Him.  Within such an area there will be established strong, life-giving churches. God can make something out beautiful out of our life.

God says that He will turn the wilderness into pools of water.  In John 5 it says, "After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.[b] Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

When we come to the water of life, Jesus will encourage you to do something you have never done before. God wants to touch his people, restore His people, and heal His people.  Remember not to be passive, keep moving. Jesus wants you to keep moving.

Look to the North, the South, the East and the West ... all the land ... God will give it to you.

There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place, And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest. He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease. When they are diminished and brought low Through oppression, affliction, and sorrow,  He pours contempt on princes,

And causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way; Yet He sets the poor on high, far from affliction, And makes their families like a flock. The righteous see it and rejoice, And all iniquity stops its mouth. Whoever is wise will observe these things, And they will understand the lovingkindness of the Lord." Really, all of  Psalms 107 is about the lovingkindness of God and when people would turn back to God, He would have mercy upon them and work in their lives.

It is God's heart to change regions and cities. Wickedness and sin sometime get in the way. God places us in a city and wants us to make an impact there. Confront the barreness in the city. God call you to confront that. Isaia 54:1-2 speaks to this. Rejoice in the midst of your barreness.  God will cause you to be fruitful. Scripture demonstrates this fact: Psalms 114:8, Isaiah 41:17-18, Isaiah 43:18-19. When you are in a wilderness that God is in He will teach you. God wants people to see His way of doing things. 

Pastor Brad shares the story of Jeremiah (Jeremiah 18) and his journey to the Potter's house. Regardless of what is going on in you life, if you know the Lord, God is making something at the wheel.
