And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

The woman only wanted to have enough resources to get out of her crisis, but God wanted to give her enough resources to change her life.

God changed Paul's ministry and the emphasis of his ministry during this time, just as God is restructuring things in our life. Because of the work that Paul had done in his life, people started coming to him and seeking him. 

In this time of reversal there are doors that are going to be opened which no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). God is going to release provision. People are going to release the provision of God.

Remember also, that there are going to be things shut down in our own lives. What we have to be careful of is that when God shuts the door, we don't get our hands in the door. Trust the Lord and keep moving.

In Isaiah 43:18-20 says, "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the Ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. Do not remember the former things as God will bring forth a new thing.

When we move in the presence of God new opportunities will open. God commands us to persevere, not give up, and overcome.
