In 1 Kings 18:46 it says, "Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel." It was at this point that the attack began to come upon his life.  The attack came to steal his destiny in the word of God.  In Psalms 2:1-3 it says, "Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,And distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.””

The enemy can come against us, but God laughs. When the devil attacks the annointed of God, he who sits in the heavens laughs.  We can laugh with God. The battle is not yours, the battle is the Lord's. We have to walk in love and mercy and rely on the Lord. As we show love and mercy, God will show love and mercy to us. Walk humbly before God. There is one river, but there are many streams.  Everybody has a portion.
