Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX teacches from Genesis 26. Whatever God has called you to do, stay at it. What God has called you to do is God's best. Every part of the body is important, and your part is needed. In 1 Corinthians 12:27-30 it says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?" Though not mentioned in this verse, Pastor Brad speaks about the importance of the Gift of Helps. The blessing of the Lord is released in the gift of the Lord you are called to function in.
Genesis 26:1-2 says, "There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you." Gerar means a place of temporary dwelling. Go to the place of your assignement and a generational blessing will be released to you.
Further speaking of gifts of God, Pastor Brad teaches from 1 Corinthians 14 about speaking in tongues, prophesy and revelation. This is further exemplifies in Romans 8:26-28. Things work together for good as we allow the Spirit to work for us.
When we dwell in the land and the place God has for us, then the blessing of God can come. Proverbs 10:22 says, "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it." The blessing of God is to be blessed in all areas of our life.
