David had grown weary waiting for the promise made to him by the prophet Samuel that he would be king. In 1 Samuel 27:1 says, "And David said in his heart, now I shall perish someday by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me that I should speadily escape to the land of the Philistines, and Saul will despair of me to seek me anymore ... I shall escape out of his hands." 

In 1 Samuel 30:1 it speaks about David being in Ziklag on the third day.  The third day signifies resurrection. David was getting something out of his system. There is a time to weep. David had poured himself out some men and now they wanted to stone him. David dealt with betrayal by coming back to God. David had left what God had for him when he ran to Ziklag. You have to face the spirit of fear head on. David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. In a crisis we get to discover who Christ is. During a trial and struggle God just wants to wrap his arms around you and love on you.

Don't be afraid to do something your heart is telling you to do.  Do it unto the Lord as a praise and an offering. The bible says that "He inhabits the praise of His people." Praise, worship and prayer should be fun and exciting. When you incorporate praise and worship with prayer there is a great joy in it.
