The global tourism industry is under increasing pressure to regulate wild animal interactions, as it is not in the best interest of the animals and there have been a number of instances of tourists being killed. Often good intentions are the result of ignorance and a lack of education. Legitimate wildlife conservation projects or animal sanctuaries do not offer any interactions with wildlife, instead they support responsible tourism practices, whereby animals can be seen from a distance, in the wild and in their natural habitat.
