Austin Parks Foundation will be presengin their 5th annual fundraiser, Party for the Parks this Wednesday, October 2 at the beautiful Republic Square Park.
This year’s fun-raiser features bites by The Peached Tortilla, tasty drinks and an interactive bar experience where guests will be able to garnish their own drinks with herbs from a Lettuce Grow Farmstand. We’ll have music by Bob Schneider + DJ Mel, and a gift card wall and a great silent auction.
Funds from Party for the Parks will help APF continue with their mission of partnering with the community to make all of our parks, trails and green spaces better through volunteerism, programming, advocacy and financial support.
Together with 500+ guests, they'll be kicking off ACL Music Festival and raising much-needed funds for our parks.
APF is expected to complete more park project redevelopments in 2019 than in any year prior because of events like this.
We also encourage Austinites to come out to ACL Music Fest this year! APF has been a partner and primary beneficiary of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. In 2018 alone, through a percentage of ticket sales, fans of ACL contributed $5.1 million.
All funding raised is put back into our beautiful parks, such as our recent playground renovations at Patterson Park and Pan American Park and into programming like our upcoming city-wide volunteer event, It’s My Park Day on November 2 and the Movies in the Park series which will continue throughout the Fall.
This year we’ll be returning to ACL presenting the Rock & Recycle program. We encourage all attendees to participate and to pick up a bag of recyclables from the grounds in exchange for a specially designed ACL Fest line-up tee.
Tickets for Party for the Parks are still available! For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.party.austinparks.org.
