The Beta Report

Regardless of your feelings towards the last season of Game of Thrones, with this cultural behemoth now gone, its left a Tormund sized hole in our hearts as well as our Sunday evening TV watching schedule. Well, like the title says, we got more for that hole! The Beta Bros have scoured the annals of entertainment to find several shows we’re looking forward to seeing. Shows that we think you’ll love and could potentially cram content into that giant gap GOT left us with.

Oh and we also can’t leave without talking about the new, shiny and sparkly announcement: We’ve got a new Batman. Is it who we would have picked? Is it an inspired choice? Will history repeat itself and will an odd casting choice actually turn out to be one of the greatest depictions of the caped crusader? So many questions…but, we’ve got your answers on this week’s episode of The Beta Report.

At its finest, Game of Thrones flung its fearless narrative spears through our hearts and pinned us to the wall as we gazed on this show with bloody wonder. Its immersive lore, intriguing characters, and shocking deaths made this show one of TV’s greatest shows of all time. But then, came the end. As bitter sweet as an ending might be, it’s even harder to swallow when it’s finale is severely rushed and tragically flawed.

On today’s episode, The Beta Boys react to the final season of Game of Thrones and surmise the entire series as we close the book on one of the best TV adaptations we’ve ever seen.

There has never been four letters strung together and emphatically spoken aloud that can completely embody someone as much as: “WHOA” and Keanu Reeves (Well, I’m sure Samuel L. Jackson fans may beg to differ). He masterfully wields each letter like a precisely placed John Wick bullet into our brains, delivering the emotional kill-shot that we all know Reeves can deliver (insert sarcasm here). John Wick 3: Parabellum is out this week, so we wanted to take some time to celebrate the man, the myth, the legend Keanu Reeves.

But, precision be damned! We’re also here for dragon fire, awkward character choices, and undeserved deaths. That’s right, we’re talking Game of Thrones, Season 8, Episode 5: The Bells. We got all this and so much more on this week’s episode of The Beta Report.
