In addition, when we understand where our true worth comes from, we can have the ability to maintain our sense of self in the face of future rejections and hurts.

We start out our Christian walk and answer God's call with enthusiasm and motivation, but we can often get bogged down in the process and get distracted by life's trials and entanglements. We continue with our discussion of John 21 and find what Jesus says about commitment and focus to have the endurance to finish our race.

By looking at the story of Judas and Mary in John 12, we gain a clear perspective on why choosing the way of Jesus is always worth the cost -- even if it costs us more initially.
