  • How to Navigate Difficult Conversations

Ever been in a tough conversation with someone that ended up going south? Don't you wish you had known how to calmly stand your ground back then in order to redirect it?

    Uhm, yeah me too!

As leaders situations like this are inevitable, and knowing how to handle it is what is going to set you apart as the leader your people actually want to follow. That's why today's episode of The Beyond Leadership Podcast is all about navigating those difficult conversations with the expert herself, Julie Crenshaw.

Julie Crenshaw is a Conversation Coach and author of the book, Navigating & Avoiding Awkward Conversations. She teaches on a wide variety of topics, from basic socializing and small talk skills to dealing with conflict, to having conversations on difficult subjects such as illness and grief. As a doctor of physical therapy and a board-certified specialist in geriatrics, subjects related to healthcare, patient rights, and caregiver burden are close to her heart. Her mission is to empower others to feel confident in their ability to express themselves and their needs/desires more clearly and to be able to handle difficult situations and conversations with ease. She believes that with a strong foundation of compassion, boundaries, and a healthy mindset, anyone can learn to gracefully connect with others, no matter the situation.

  • Invest In You
I started investing in myself without a clue what I was doing about two years ago. I was terrified because I didn't have the money I was committing to paying my first coach and I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to get out of the deal. I just knew I wanted MORE. Six month later, I started to truly believe in the process and I recorded this on Instagram live. Today, I will never stop investing time and money and effort into ME.

  • Redefining What It Means to be a Mom

You are more than just "a mom" or "a wife".

It has become way too easy for women to solely define themselves by labels given once they get married and/or have kids. It's 2022 for gosh sakes, what better time to start pushing past these societal norms of what being "a wife" or "a mom" means and redefine ourselves according to what actually lights our soul on fire.

If you've ever felt like you lost yourself to keep up with how everyone else expects you to act, you're going to want to listen in to today's episode with special guest, Jess Copacia.

Jess is a wife, mother, and pediatric nurse practitioner. After years of checking off all the "life boxes" instead of feeling happy, she found herself overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, resentful, and more unhappy than ever before. Spending years worried about following the expected path and putting everyone else's needs before her own, she lost who she was and what she wanted out of life. It was this ultimate low, she decided to do the hard work, and start questioning the labels that had held her back for so long. Through that journey, came the realization of the power of living a life free of expectations and one aligned with the soul and ignited a passion to empower other women to do the same. In 2020, she started her coaching business and became the host of the 'Mom Guilt Is BS' Podcast.

To connect with Jess, follow her on IG @jesscopacia or check out her website HERE.

  • Leadership Mistakes to Avoid

How is your relationship with your team? Do you share the same mission? Is communication easy... or do you find yourself repeating the same directions over and over again?

These are questions that we should all be asking ourselves as leaders, and if you have to think about the answers to these questions too hard, odds are these areas could use some improvement!

On today's episode of The Beyond Leadership Podcast, Breanne Surfin joins me to dive deep into leadership mistakes that are so often made, and how we can avoid them.

Breanne has been in network marketing for decades, with multiple companies & teams. No matter where she is, she's always on top. She and her family of four travel full time in an RV, and she still somehow manages to keep a successful network marketing business and help other women learn how to build successful teams themselves. Breanne has had years of experience with many top tear leaders, she's seen the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to leadership.

  • Discover Your Worth

So, you can feel it in your bones that you are meant for something bigger, right? You just know there is more to life... but every time you come close to making a real change you revert back to what you know. Why do we do this? It may all boil down to one limiting belief stuck in your subconscious that's telling you that you're not worthy of having what you desire. Sound familiar?

In today's episode, we're going to bring awareness to and address this belief head-on!

Vally has been on her own self-worth journey for over a decade and recognizes that each day is a work in progress. For the last seven years, Vally has invested countless hours mentoring the women in her organization to believe they can have everything their hearts desire while also immersing herself with like-minded individuals who know and believe we, as women, are meant for more. Vally is the very embodiment of the love and support that we all crave so badly and I know her message of 'you are worthy of everything and more' is going to bless you today.
