In this episode, we interview Coach Steve Hodge. Steve loves using the coaching platform for teaching life to young people. Competing is a rush as well, but it doesn’t compare to the feeling of assisting in the development of a player.

After finishing his basketball career at Johnson & Wales University, He fought tirelessly to complete his dream of playing basketball professionally abroad. In 2011, following stints in England, Mexico, Finland, Spain, Germany, Italy, and every minor league in the northeast, he moved my family to Los Angeles.

They get the same ball of energy and ideas that you see on the court at home. They've become accustomed to my piercing voice, raving demands, and unending anecdotes about discipline, dreaming, and my favorite subject, purpose.

In this episode of Bridging Impact, we sit down with Heather Henson a twenty-eight year coaching veteran, Heather's mission has been to advocate and help student-athletes develop the skills they need to be successful on the field, in the classroom, and throughout their career.  

Her coaching career began as an assistant for the men's and women's soccer teams at High Point University, before being named head coach for the women's team.  This was followed by twenty-three years as a NCAA Division I head coach for East Tennessee State University and Belmont University.  She has also been heavily involved with the Olympic Development Program for 29 years, first as a player and then as a State Team Coach and Regional Staff Coach.  

Heather is a leader in the college recruiting process, leadership training and team culture development.  She has served as a NCAA Senior Women's Administrator, and is licensed by the United State Soccer Federation (USSF) and United Soccer Coaches (USC).  

Her recruitment classes have included fourteen Scholar Athlete Awards and one NCAA Top 30 Women-of-the-Year and 25 years posting Team GPA of 3.0-3.8, representing her dedication to the academic success of every student-athlete.
