The Post Office Scandal saw 700 sub-postmasters prosecuted from 1999 to 2015, with some going to prison. The issue was actually the result of faulty software in the Post Office's centralised computer accounting system, called Horizon, which wrongly made it look like money was missing from a number of branches.
Hundreds of Sub- Postmasters were wrongly convicted of stealing after the defective Horizon accounting system, developed by Fujitsu’s ICL business, made it appear as though money was missing at their branches.
The Post Office also forced at least 4,000 branch managers to pay back cash based on the flawed data.
Onkar Sandhu gives his story of the shocking treatment he and his family suffered and questions what happens next?
