In this study, we see Jesus continuing His emphasis on 'Christian righteousness.' And after some more examples of radical righteousness, Jesus will conclude that we must be no less righteous than God Himself! Every Christian must give greater attention to these verses.

Christians need to be members of a local church so that, through a church's accountability and exhortation, we are protected from sin's deceiving, hardening effects.

How can our worship fulfill its great purpose in the New Testament Age? What does it mean to worship in spirit and truth?

In these verses, Jesus calls His disciples to a deeper, inner kind of righteousness. According to Jesus, we need a righteousness that transforms us from the inside out. This study will cover three cases in which 'Christian righteousness' radically transcends our conventional standards of ethics.
