John 5:24-47 - Jesus response to the persecution He is under from the Jewish religious leaders. He claims to be the Son of God and defines very specifically who He is and what He can do. He then proceeds to offer four witnesses to back up His testimony. The Jewish leaders have their hearts set against Him, and Jesus knows it. It's not an easy conversation, but Jesus never shied away from the truth just because it wasn't easy.
