In this episode, we will discuss the idea of Free Will that is introduced in the Book of Genesis. We are thankful to not be mere cogs, but why is it that God designed and created us with the freedom to chose our own path? Come ponder with me some of the deeper questions of life that stem from our conversations surrounding the life of Eve. Feel free to email me questions, comments, or concerns at [email protected].
There is a bright glimmering hope revealed in Genesis 3:15. Even though Eve and her husband Adam had placed themselves at the center of order and wisdom, Eve is given a triumphant prophecy. Come take a listen to this 'protoevangelion' or 'first telling of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.'

In this episode of the BLP, we will be discussing how Eve enlightens our purpose as creation, which is to be in relationship with God and to be used by Him to carry out His plans and purposes on earth. Now, I know there is a lot to unpack in this weighty statement, but this is what can be very clearly gleaned from the Creation account in Genesis. This relational theme is the heartbeat of the entire Revelation of God found in His written Word.
In this particular deep dive of the life of Eve, we will explore the temptation of Eve and the consequences that result in Adam and Eve placing themselves at the center of order and source of wisdom. What disorder and distortion ensues as a result of replacing God with ourselves?

Eve and her husband, Adam, are remembered as two individuals who royally messed up, ate fruit from a tree they weren't supposed to, and basically ruined it for everyone else. However, is that really the key gleaning from the life of Eve? Surely not. Come explore with me as I do a deep dive into the life of Eve.

Welcome to the second season of The Biblical Life Podcast. In this season, we will be doing a deep dive into the lives of five incredible women from the Old Testament: Eve, Deborah, Hannah, Ruth, and Esther. My objective in telling each individual story is to have us think more deeply about the plans and purposes of God and to see the mighty ways in which these individual women reveal to us our greater role and purpose as God’s creation.

In this final chapter of Jonah, we will see how cynicism creeps in and persuades us to give up intimacy with our Creator for the sake of partial truths, fabricated lies, and distortions of what is truly good. And how over time, we give way to evil ambitions that are counter to God’s Will. So what will happen to Jonah in Chapter 4? Will he rejoice in the Ninevites deliverance or will the darkness within his soul win out? Listen and find out.
The Book of Jonah proclaims one of the most important truths about God; He is a God primarily concerned with human hearts. God is concerned with His creation and desires to be in relationship with them. How incredible for Jonah, right? He gets to be a part of God's redemptive work. Jonah, however, is missing out on being a conduit of God's mercy. In this episode, we will discuss not only how God is glorified as the merciful Lord, but also how Jonah responds to God's second commissioning to go to the people of Nineveh.
In this episode, I will be answering some listener questions from our most recent episode on Jonah Chapter 2, as well as provide some steps that will help us develop a more genuine prayer life.
In this episode, we will take a look at Jonah's prayer of thanksgiving after his sojourn in the belly of a fish. His anguish seems to be nearing an end, but his journey is just beginning.
