Today on episode #003 we have Ar. Veeram Shah- the founder of “Design ni Dukaan” and the co-founder of POD and DOTTO- graduated from the Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Architecture in Pune.
Well, we have a lot of Dukaans around us- kirana ki dukaan, dawai ki dukaan, hardware ki dukaan.. But have you thought of the concept of a Design ki dukaan ??? YES! This practice-based in Ahmedabad, founded by Ar. Veeram Shah- Design ni Dukaan- is literally a shop of Design! A fabulous treasure of Design ideas, electrifying design projects, Art, Architecture, Furniture, Accessories and whatnot!
His practice focuses on the concept of 'design' in totality and without distinction. With a very informal structure of the practice that collaborates with artists and thinkers of different fields, they try their hands at different scales of designs ranging from architecture to furniture to jewellery.
His other ventures where he is a co-founder are a little more formal. POD- Pieces of Desire is an award-winning Furniture design label that has amazing and elegant collections with consideration to aesthetics, craftsmanship and affordability, perfectly synced together.
DOTTO- Objects of Curiosity, his another venture where he is a co-founder works on a unique design language with objects that seamlessly blends intangible ideas into functional products.
So let's take a stroll in this Design ni Dukaan, with the Dukaandaar himself- Ar. Veeram Shah. Don’t forget to carry the cart of your heart and soul to listen to the narratives by this young and Dynamic Architect- and fill your cart with the take-aways.

Hiren Patel architects started out as a small firm that has grown exponentially by accepting every challenge that came it's the way. His initial success came from designing high rises in Ahmedabad, which is their base city. Thereafter, they have not looked back by aiming ever higher.
Today their pallet of work covers everything from a small residence to heritage buildings and palaces to huge entertainment complexes, from an individual shop to large commercial megaliths. But the driving force behind their success has always been the openness to continuous learning and embracing change as the only constant in life.
