We kick off the show with CSIF's Brian Waddingham talking about their programs available to help get your cattle business started. Derek Namanny with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship tells us about some of their loan and cost-share programs available to help producers with rotational grazing projects. Beef Checkoff Board Member Mike Holden tells us what they are doing to promote beef consumption in the U.S. and the export market. Jeff Mathias from NRCS details some of the funding programs they have available including for fencing, quality of pasture, and adding water sources for the cattle. Don Roose from U.S. Commodities, Inc. breaks down ag market trade as we end the week.

Friday's Second Hour: We are continuing Farming for the Future Friday with the Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers at the Iowa Cattle Industry Leadership Summit! Hour two begins with two representatives from Iowa Finance Authority, Agricultural Program Specialists Tammy Nebola and Nicki Howell, with a look at their loan programs and tax credit programs as well as who they are seeking out to work with in getting started on the farm. Iowa Beef Industry Council's Mike Anderson tells us about their recent projects that he has shared about at the summit, and how they partner with other states across the country to increase consumer demand. Don Roose with U.S. Commodities, Inc. ends this week of shows with a market update.

It's hard to see now that she was fighting for her life five years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer. Her mother, Jeanet was in person to give an update on Gracie and how Pinky Swear helped them during their time of need.

Incoming ICA Board of Directors President Rob Medberry is on with Bob talking about his background and the need for more cattle in the market. He also talks to current President Bob Noble about the renewing of the Farm Bill and more. Jamey Kohake wraps the program for today with another market update.

He also talks with Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig as we kick off the search for Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award recipients in 2024, the 20th year for the award, and the importance of the cattle industry in Iowa. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments talks some markets with us and the South American factors in today's slow grain trade. Asisstant State Conservationist Sam Adams with USDA NRCS tells us about the funding they have received and the projects it will go toward. David talked a few weeks ago at the NAFB Convention with Beef Checkoff Chairman Jimmy Taylor about herd size and promoting exports to countries around the world.
