Iowa State Extension agronomist Clarabell Probasco on South Central and SE Iowa updates on moisture conditions in those areas, over winter alfalfa, and the discussions ant their extension meetings about tar spot. We continue talking agronomy with ISU Extension's Virgil Schmitt along the Eastern edge of Iowa looking at row crops in his part of the state and some of the disease issues he's been hearing about, some of the newly developed hybrids to combat those diseases, as well as what his growers have seen in pest activity. We check out the markets to end the show with Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments to wrap up the show as he also tells us what he is watching for in Wednesday's WASDE Report.

Charlie Hurburgh from Iowa State University spends some time with us talking about quality of grain in storage and what issues he's hearing about from the folks at Extension around the state. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments joins us with some market analysis previewing the upcoming WASDE Report this week expecting beans to be bullish and says that corn is sluggish today waiting on that report. Steffes Group's Tim Meyer joins us to end the first hour today with our weekly land and equipment value update.

Our hosts today are Tim and Skylar Bardole and they join Bob at the start of the hour talking about why they choose to be in the pork industry. Cody Havens from CSIF talks about how CSIF can help livestock farmers across Iowa and some of the questions he has gotten in the past few weeks. We wrap up with Hope Brecht from CSIF with more info on how to find more info about the Coalition on the web and social media platforms and Brian Waddingham on the importance of reaching out to the next generation to tell Iowa's agriculture story.

As we focus on the pork industry today, Dr. Lee Schultz outlines what he heard and discussed in his recent regional conferences with the IPPA and provides an outlook for the coming year in economic outlook for pork producers. IPPA CEO Pat McGonegle tells us about their recent trip to Japan and Korea learning about foreign markets for pork and addressed some those buyers' questions.
