Bob Quinn speaks with researchers from the ISA to discuss their latest research to improve returns for farmers! We start off with Roger Wolf, Co-Chair of the ISA Research Center for Farming Innovation, talking about their Plan, Do, Check, Act technique for engaging farmers to put research into practice. ISA President-Elect Suzanne Shirbroun talks about the role of the Soybean Checkoff in research and how producers can get involved in their research. ISA RCFI Co-Chair Joe McClure talks about some of the benefits of participating in their trials an implementing the research on your land. Also, ISA Field Services Program Manager Brandon Iddings discusses how to identify an oxbow, the pros of an oxbow restoration, and funding options for a restoration.

Monte Shaw from the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association joins the show and presents results of a study they conducted to see the negative impact on ethanol if Iowa does not allow carbon sequestration while other states do. Soy Transportation Coalition Executive Director Mike Steenhoek shares some big news with Lower Mississippi River shipping and tells us how he is feeling about river levels with above average moisture so far for 2023. Al Kluis closes us out with market analysis looking at his targets for corn and beans and the factors keeping those markets from rising.

Taylor Hintch from the Practical Farmers of Iowa shares the details for their March 2nd conference in Cedar Rapids covering the benefits of cover crops and how to get registered. Kluis Commodities' Al Kluis fills us is in on market activity and how news and weather internationally in Ukraine and South America is swinging U.S. markets.

Bob Quinn at the Iowa Beef Expo and talks with Kylie Peterson from the Iowa Beef Industry Council to encourage nominations for the Iowa's Best Burger contest, which are being accepted beginning today on the IBIC website and runs through March 13. Tanner Lawton from the IBIC is also with us as we look forward to the 41st Annual Iowa Governor's Charity Steer Show and he talks about some of the reasons he is so passionate about being part of the industry as a young guy. Jamey Kohake wraps up today's show with a market update with corn and soybeans still mixed and not far from Friday's closes.

It's time for the Iowa Beef Expo and Bob Quinn is at the Iowa Beef Industry Council booth at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and is joined by Kylie Peterson of the Iowa Beef Industry Council to kickoff off this year's search for the best burger in Iowa! IBIC CEO Mike Anderson tells us about what's happening on his family's operation and discusses the Best Burger contest. Tanner Lawton from the IBIC gives a status update on auctions taking place at the Beef Expo and says sales are flat to slightly higher than last year's. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments runs down the markets with us with corn and soybeans mixed at mid-day. The Steffes Group's Tim Meyer gets us up to date on their upcoming sale schedule and talks about the upward move in markets in the last couple of weeks.

Alan Brugler of Brugler Marketing & Management concludes the show with an update on grain and livestock trade for the day and what he sees looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

Alan Brugler from Brugler Marketing & Management LLC in Omaha talks with us about yesterday's lackluster WASDE report but offers a couple of things from it that he found interesting. He also has an outlook for planting in the Southern US and harvest in South America.

Bob Quinn talks with Matt Russell from the FSA Office in Des Moines about loan products they have available to farmers and the simplified application process. Cattlemen's Heritage's Chad Tentinger tells us about his experience last night in the gallery of the State Of The Union address as a guest of Rep. Feenstra. We are joined by BASF's Troy Bauer and Bill Backhays discussing some of their findings in research on soybean cyst nematode including find them in 78% of samples as well as what they're telling growers on how to get rid of them. Don Roose wraps up today's Big Show and says that this morning's WASDE report didn't have any big surprises which means the markets will shift their focus to weather outlooks

Bob Quinn is joined by Scott Meldrum from Van Wall Equipment as we get excited for planting season and look at the equipment and upgrade packages that Van Wall has to make it happen. The USDA released its February WASDE Report with no major surprises to grain marketers. Don Roose from U.S. Commodities breaks down the numbers for us. Farm Credit Services of America's Alan Erickson gives us an update on their Cash Back Divided Program in the new year including potential payouts and says that their customers can count on it.
