Back for Series 2 with a fantastic tale of preordained greatness through naming but which was achieved through hard work and an unusual route. This saw our Guest receive a Bronze Medal 5 years after the event and appear at the World championships after a couple of practice sessions!
In my view best described by his former coach when he retired :
"He was 'Mr Bobsleigh'. Everything he did, he did for the good of the team. He had a big presence in the squad and was respected by all his team mates and the staff, both on and off the ice.
For me, Bruce Tasker epitomises what is required to be a bobsleigher. He is a true professional, a true athlete and, more importantly, a true gent"
Hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed talking to the big man - No doubt welsh rugby let one get away here.
This week John Inverdale joins me for the series finale. We talk ageism, Mark Knopfler and trail by social media while regretting not getting the perfect send off on a Jersey ferry.
Get your tomato soup ready and enjoy hearing from the a broadcasting legend.
Good morning, good afternoon and good evening.
Episode 4 sees a varied and interesting conversation with friend, coach and podcast veteran Jack Graves. Internet failure cost us the last five minutes so I spoke for Jack in a reconstruction of our chat and represented his views as I believe he would want.
Find him on Instagram @thehealthcoachuk and Healthy Conversations podcast on Spotify.
Clearly a man who knows his trade and does his research and with a surprising love of Jazz.
Enjoy!
