What Proposition 1 does Kitsap PUD Proposition 1 authorizes Kitsap PUD to take over all of PSE's electrical infrastructure in Kitsap County, including transmission lines, substations, maintenance and operations facilities, and become the only electric provider for every household and business in the county. It is not a vote authorizing the PUD to commission a study to estimate costs to taxpayers and customers—that could have been done without a vote, similar to what other jurisdictions have done.

Today we welcome: Fran Korten Chair & Steve Johnson Outreach Coordinator of Unplug PSE

Unplug PSE is an all volunteer campaign of Kitsap county residents supporting a YES vote on Proposition 1, which will be on the November 3 ballot. A YES vote means the Kitsap Public Utility District will investigate whether public power could provide Kitsap residents with reliable, affordable, and accountable electric service.

KPUD, as a public entity, cannot advocate for the passage of the ballot measure. Only citizens can do that.

So a group of residents from throughout the county came together to inform the public about the measure. We registered Unplug PSE with the Washington Public Disclosure Commission to become an official political committee.

We welcome participation from all Kitsap residents who want KPUD to explore the possibility of offering electricity to our county.

I established Conscious Classroom to provide a platform for students, educators, administrators, families, and communities to tap into their inner wisdom, create a life aligned with their unique vision, and trust the intuition that guides us all. It's a space for nurturing self-awareness and mindfulness, and understanding our brain and body systems and how they interact and influence our behaviors. Conscious Classroom offers a container to learn the art and science of self-awareness, self-management, and conscious choice. Our unique approach engages experiential learning, enabling mastery experience and lifelong learning.
