SEASON 5 BABY!!! Bits Per Second returns as Jim, Karl, Frank, Izzy, and James zoom together while the Firehouse is dark for a weekend, some from quarantine. Together we discuss who the most athletic Bit might be (believe it or not, there's some controversy) as well as what it's been like to be back on stage regularly after being closed for over a year, and a detour or two into our week with Jay Leno.

Keep your eye on this feed for some hot new stuff coming soon as THE BIT PLAYERS PODCAST NETWORK begins!

Jarrod, Jim, and Karl look at 2018's GOTTI, starring the always-at-11 John Travolta and directed by Kevin Connolly, best known as the kid who shows Elly May around in THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES (1993). And also--Dios mío--Stacy Keach!

Today we watched the heartwarming wrestling comedy FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY, starring a pre-Swedish-death-cult Florence Pugh as the WWE Diva wrestler Paige. After a bit we segue into a side discussion of THE WRONG MISSY, an Adam Sandler production that is way better than it needed to be. FIGHTING is available on Prime and Hulu, MISSY is on Netflix.

This week Jarrod, Jim, and Karl watched BERNIE, the 2011 film based on a true murder, starring Jack Black, Shirley MacLaine, and Baker Dill himself Matthew McConaughey. We discuss predatory funeral directors, intra-Texas rivalries, and the presence of iPhones in a movie that takes place in the '90s. The movie is available on Prime, and also for free on Tubi, YouTube, Pluto, PopcornFlix, Crackle, Roku Channel, and I'm pretty sure some UHF channels.

Jarrod, Jim, and Karl all watched SERENITY, the 2019 film starring Matthew McConaughey in full Lincoln Continental mode as a fisherman who's given an offer he can and should refuse. BUT THERE'S MORE TO IT THAN THAT. 2/3 of us loved this movie and the other one is Jarrod. The movie is available on Prime.
