Hey Creators! We are joined by the co-founders of Aqua Equity a new sustainable water company making a huge impact!

In 1 year of being in business they have been able to secure the bag by supplying water to networks and productions like Issa Rae's show on HBO Insecure and fitness events with Black OM Wellness & more.

They have 3 main pillars that the company lives by Community, Environment and Education. Don’t let the money bag fool you  they are heavily involved in the community and do a ton of volunteer work and donations to the less fortunate in the Los Angeles area 

One of the ways they support the environment is their water bottles, which are made out of 100% aluminum which keeps the plastic out of the land fields, the bottles are reusable, and you get more money back when recycling.  

Their 3rd pillar is education, they run an entrepreneurial program in WATTS for young adults to learn the importance ownership and the tools to become and Entrepreneur.

This week we joined Jasmine Leyva a activist, actress and documentary filmmaker. Jasmine left her 9 to 5 and focus on her goals of telling her own story with her own rules. 

She produced a feature film length documentary, In The Invisible Vegan , a film that chronicles her personal experience with plant-based eating. The film also explains how plant-based eating is directly linked to African roots and how Afrian-American eating habits have been debased by a chain of oppression.

Ever had an interest in creating your own print magazine? Well this ones for you! Even if print mags are not really your thing, we talk at length about the importance of creating your own space and building community. The Oakland native built a women-led brand and, most recently, she landed Fredrika Newton, widow of the late Huey P Newton of The Black Panther Party, as the cover story on Hella Looks' latest issue!
