On this episode of the Black Love Xperience podcast, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett have to pivot. We were going to head over to the Lindsay‘s. However they had a long weekend and we understand wanting to rest up and so we rescheduled our time with our lovely family and friends the Lindsay’s. We love the Lindsay‘s and we look forward to seeing them very soon. Now we have decided on a date night where Mrs G is going to cook up some of her special Mexican Cuisine. The fun thing about date night is that Mr. and Mrs. Garrett get a chance to reconnect. On this episode of The Black Love Xperience Podcast, we are talking about Nigrescence, our experiences and some of the history associated with the 5 stages of Nigrescence. Nigrescence describes a process of becoming black or developing a racial identity. The 5 stages are Pre-encounter, Encounter, Immersion Emersion and Internalization. African Americans are "believed to be socialized into the predominant culture, which resulted in diminished racial identification” and thus the Nigrescence model posits that an encounter with an instance of racism or racial discrimination may precipitate the exploration and formation of racial identity, and foster a deeper understanding of the role race plays in the lives of African Americans. We each share our experiences and what we have learned. It’s important that our culture have access to their heritage at a very young age. Fostering and reinforcing the positive strong self respect morals that will help to create stronger and more forward thinking black communities. Today we are talking about money time decisions. The decisions that we make, while being in the honeymoon of our marriage. How these decisions are related and some unrelated to us as individuals. Meaning, some of these choices may be indirectly suggestion because of the journeys we may be on as individuals. Even though we’re in love, married and building together we also recognize and understand how important it is for us to continue to grow as individuals so that it feeds into our union providing positive strong love, warmth and a fruitful foundation that we can build upon. Grand Rising! On this episode, we decided to talk about dating apps. How fun! We were watching TV and saw that there is this one unique and particular dating app and so we got to wondering. Our creative juices got to flowing. What would life be like in a world where you could date somebody and alcohol was not a part of having to be a part of your first time dating. And so we got to thinking and we got to talking and we thought about how all the benefits that could be offered to help foster a new relationship or friendship. Sometimes when we have the opportunity to build on a solid foundation with materials based on clarity, transparency, honesty, and integrity, and so on, and so forth that in itself, can be very comforting in allowing a person to show the best versions of themselves. So why not foster that in the most purest genuine way. How do you do that? Well you develop a platform where people can come and be alcohol free sounds boring at first but then if you let it sit with you for a while you start to understand that organization, breeds clarity, and if clarity is a part of organizing well, then who doesn’t want an organized life, especially in life and love. Heartbroken over the 49ers lost to the in the NFC championship game. We recap the game and talk about some of the details we saw while watching the game. The collapse of our offense without our QB.
