Here we are, Thanksgiving 2020.

For some of you not much has changed this year, but for many Americans, their world has been slammed upside down.

Here in the Black Hills Families, Friends, Co-workers, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, Grand-kids and many others have become separated.

Not only has Covid played a big part in separating us but also one another being on opposite sides of

Black Lives Matter vs All Lives Matter, Being an Essential vs Non-Essential, Wear a Mask or I'm Not Wearing A Mask, Democrat vs Republican, Biden or Trump.

"leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders"

-Tom Peters

Our generation is coming up to lead this State, Country, and Community.  I'm here to show those of us with a not so perfect record, tattoos and some bad choices we've made we are still able to help our neighbors in our community and we can have Conversations with Leaders in a civil way.

Thank you Mayor Allender for coming on the podcast and having a chat.

A Conversation is the first step to getting shit done.

I hope you all are enjoying time with your Families, have a great day and keep your head up this wont last forever.

We know times are tough right now but if like what were doing here at Black Hills Podcast you can keep us going by buying me a coffee or supporting us via PayPal or Venmo.

Crash Course on CBD.

In a time of so much Negativity we need to promote some Positivity.  Fountain Springs had a bad rep i didnt even know about a long time ago but i see them doing more good for the community in the Black Hills than any other Church.  I may not be religious but i do believe in church's that promote being a good human.  I hope you enjoy this episode and thanks for listening.

on this episode i sit down with Sheriff Kevin Thom who has 42 years of Law Enforcement Experience and the new Chief of Police Don Hedrick.  It is a difficult time in America for police and i wanted to hear their opinions and thoughts on somethings like.

Marijuana on the ballot

All the Homicides that been happening

Meth and other drugs in our community

Sex trafficking and Internet crimes

and so much more.

Thanks to Sheriff Thom and Chief Hedrick for sitting with me and having a conversation.

Obviously I am not familiar at all with the jobs of the City Council, County Commissioners, Ward Representatives or anything Political.  The best way to educate myself is to get to know those that are in office in our community.  I was afraid it was going to be a snooze but it was very insightful for me to hear of how the Commission is working with Teen Up and the Rapid City Youth City Council educating and giving them experience so our community and those around us are more prepared for the future and ready to hit a pandemic head on if it ever happens again (i hope not).
