It's another season on the beach. We are paradising our way into fall and also the winter. It's giving very much Jaida Essence Hall "LOOK OVER THERE" as abc/bachelor nation tries to quickly divert our attention from their lack of acknowledgement of any of the real issues that took place last season and force us into the chaos that is paradise.
We've got some old faces but mostly a lot of new ones because we did not watch a millisecond of Clayin's season so we don't know who none of these womens are and don't even try to ask us to tell apart these blonde ones because baybee we truly do not know.

Cue the end of Beyoncé's "Summer Renaissance" bc it's giving "applause...round of applause" but for us completing this season not that mess of 3 hours that we had to watch that truly could have been an email.
Well here we are. It's the end of hopefully the last time we'll ever have two bachelorettes and lets just say the way that one of these things was not like the other the entire season...no one is surprised by this ending. People cheatin, breakin up, lyin, being bamboozled, skirting accountability, we got 5 woman trying to get the attention of 1 man...are we watching Maury or The Bachelorette because we are very confused.

It's finale week, but also not really because they've drawn this out for far too long and we still have a 3 hour finale next week even though there's only 2 people left? Make it make sense pls.
In this episode Vic and Mi discuss part one of the finale, how there's endless apologies for things that people didn't actually need to apologize for because they were being honest and vulnerable, how this damn ring is ruining everything, and how our good friend Rachel is truly over it and also ready for Paradise so that the attention can be off of her.

It's Fantasy Suites week and let's just say it didn't go as planned. People leaving, people getting left, people crying on bridges, and for once we barely saw Rachel? They made us endure 2 nights of Fantasy Suites but because we love y'all (and bc the episodes could have been an email) we managed to get all that happened into one episode and if that is not a testament of our love for you ion know what is.

Because of course there's something racist to unearth in a contestant's past. Why on earth wouldn't there be? Why should casting and production have to vet the contestants they bring onto show after years of racism and violence perpetuated against marginalized communities? Why shouldn't we be running to accept Erich's half-assed apology? Why shouldn't we love and adore the resurgence of the Black square a la 2020? Why, why, whhhhhhyyyyyy?
In the midst of our frustration, Vic and Mi strive to hold a conversation about Blackface and it's history, this franchise's habit for sweeping incidents like these under the rug instead of resourcing themselves toward transformative justice, Erich's inability to acknowledge his actions as racist, and why we have to reassess the reliance on Black creators in this community to educate the masses. It can't just be us.

WHERE IS AVEN'S HOMETOWN?!
Nah y'all did us and Aven dirty here because how we leave out the one minority's hometown date when y'all somehow managed to allow ample space for Rachel to be verbally attacked by a family who clearly forgot what show their son was on.
Justice for Aven's hometown, y'all better not rush through that before Men Tell All because...we gone be ready to throw hands. Virtual podcast hands of course.

If you say "hometowns" in the mirror six times, Jesse Palmer will appear and cancel a cocktail party.
What else can be said? Baby Back Bitch is, has been and always will be the moment. Forever may the real Cheese (Intolerant) King, Ethan Kang, reign.
Okay, we also we know Logan's Ronagate drama has everyone in a tizzy but we promise y'all, it's not that deep. In this episode, we explain the ever changing Covid protocols in film/tv and how the union that the franchise is covered under shifted their Covid policies right before this season started filming. Gabby catches this week's fade. We go to the colonizer museum with Rachel and Zach. Tino cries almost. And we want justice for Ethan.
Please, if you have a moment, drop a review with your thoughts on this week's episode. Then, send this episode over to your friend who also hates The Bachelor so they can join in on the fun. THEN:

They really playing Rachel and honestly, someone needs to call up Tayshia and Kaitlyn because these producers are getting out of pocket with this journey to breaking lil miss Recchia.
We had a TIME recording this one for y'all, probably because for once our schedules aligned and we recorded this during waking hours. ENJOY. Now chile, Logan took up so much damn space this episode we had to give Mr. Veggie Tales his own section. Aside from this poorly producer curated drama free drama, this episode seemed pretty tame. But we do have some questions about RaVen (see what we did there?), we're campaigning for Johnny's partnership with BetterHelp, Mi is convinced Erich is a secret emo rage boy, and Vic is tired of this franchise trying to play us for boo boo and the fool. Somehow, we're a week out from hometowns and we still barely know what's going on or how these men are convinced it's time to meet the parents...

So, some news broke about Nate this week and honestly, we are tired. There's so much to get into here and as we couldn't even fit it all in this 45 minute episode, we'll have some more bonus content dropping this weekend in lieu of our weekly "Do Better Cis" that we release.
Once again Bachelor Nation has shown that they don't care about us (and by us we mean people of color) and truly their only goal is to reduce us to whatever predisposed stereotypes already exist in their minds. Is this a defense of Nate? Nah, but is this is reminder to view everything (and we mean EVERYTHINGGGG) with a critical eye? Absof*ckinglutely.
