Fred and AJ are eager to kick off their show and do so with some news around the NFL from the Bears contemplating a roster addition to the Colts’ shocking fire. They discuss James Harden’s record-setting season and where he stands in the MVP race. Then, the guys go around and give their votes for the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The guys get the final hour of the show rolling by answering some tweets and calls before Fred brings up an interesting story about an Instagram model that he has read about. Fred and AJ discuss the Patriots being underdogs in the AFC championship and the guys pivot into a discussion about who is closer to being a contender between the Texans and Cowboys. The gang looks forward to the Texans draft prospects before wrapping up the show with a few crime stories!

The guys start the second hour looking at where a likely landing spot for Nick Foles may be during the offseason, and drift into a larger conversation about QB’s moving this offseason and around the league. Fred and AJ talk some more True Detective (brought up in the first hour) before pivoting into why both of the guys are disappointed with current government shutdown. Halfway through the show the guys are joined by world renowned NFL scout Lance Zierlein to discuss some upcoming draft news and get some inside scouting reports. To wrap things up, the guys do their famous Zadok Jewelers’ Gem of the Day.

Fred and AJ start the show with a recap of how their NFL picks went from over the weekend before going deeper into what made each matchup and what they look forward to next in the conference championship round. The guys touch on the Kyler Murray situation and what they think may be the best direction for him, as well as what their thoughts on the new season of True Detective. The gang talks about the viability of smaller mobile quarterbacks in the NFL and the general ability of teams to assess mobile/versatile quarterbacks.

On the final hour of the blitz, Fred and AJ talk to RJ Bell as they do every Friday. They talked about this weekend's slate of games in the playoffs and how much the weather would effect the line.

Fred and AJ kick off the second hour speculating about the future of Jalen Hurts and different issues surrounding the NFL coaching positions that need to be filled. The guys discuss bets on the NFL playoff games this weekend, and analyze a list that ranks the best places to visit in the world. They wrap up the hour going over the symptoms of aging.

To start the day, Fred and AJ discuss the Jeff Bezos’ divorce and the bizarre text messages he sent to his mistress. Former pro boxer Oscar De La Hoya stopped by the studio earlier in the day and talked with AJ about the decline of pay-per-view, rising stars, and changing the world of boxing. The guys talk about criticisms of the kiss cam at games, the satisfaction of writing a book, and which teams could potentially unseat Clemson as college football champion next season.
