To kick off the first hour, Fred and AJ debate between themselves and fans about the DC and Marvel comic universes. They discuss rankings of the best superheroes and continue the conversation throughout the hour to spurn an especially livid caller, who ends up calling back for an extensive and thoroughly entertaining debate with the guys.

To kick off the third hour Fred and AJ are joined by lead college football analyst for Pregame.com, Brad Powers. Brad and the guys discuss the college football playoffs, betting on bowl games, and predictions for the championship game. The guys take a break from sports to take a personality quiz and discuss proper tipping etiquette. Fred and AJ end the day going over pop culture news such as Aquaman and the Coachella lineup.

Rolling into the second hour, the guys continue their NFL playoff predictions. Fred and AJ breakdown this weekend’s game between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, especially the quarterback match-up of Deshaun Watson and Andrew Luck. The men talk about betting for the playoff games this weekend and Anderson Cooper’s shot-taking abilities on television. They close out the hour sharing some bizarre pet stories from fans and their own experiences with animals.

Fred and AJ kick off the first hour discussing University of Houston’s new head football coach, Dana Holgorsen, and the history of the team’s coaching staff. The guys break down UH’s recruiting process, spending habits, and overall efforts to improve the program. They continue with recruitment around the college football world before transitioning to potential replacements for the many head coach vacancies throughout the NFL. The guys talk about which NFL playoff games they are most looking forward to this coming weekend, and make their predictions.

The guys get the final hour of the show rolling by doing some picks from the upcoming NFL playoff matchups including how they think the Texans Wildcard round will shake out. Fred brings up that there may be a “dragon” inconsistency within the naming of a character on Game of Thrones before the guys discuss nominations for end of the year NFL awards. As with all what are the odds Wednesdays, Fred and AJ end the show with their famous death’s segment.

The guys get the second hour of the show rolling by wrapping up some of the recent Bowl Game action including discussing Texas’ fantastic display against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Fred and AJ keep everyone in the loop on how their gambling success has flourished and where they both are in their respective pick’em pools. The gang addresses a call about targeting in college football and what penalties need to be reassessed to help preserve some of the continuity and fun of the game. To wrap up the hour the guys do their Zadok Jewelers Gem of the Day.

Everybody is back in the building as the guys get the show started by discussing Dana Holgorsen being hired as the new UH Football head coach. Then Jong tells the crew a bit about his trip to Vegas and the pet peeves he has about people breaking flight etiquette. Fred and AJ look at how competitive the NFL playoffs are based on the lines put out so far, and Fred talks about nature of getting better at poker and what he does to stay sharp.

In a truncated second and final hour of the show, the guys talk about some of the Texans offseason needs. To finish up the year, they discuss their New Years Day plans and the NFL coaching vacancies heading into 2019.

With Tyler behind the controls, Fred and AJ kick off a New Years Eve edition of The Blitz by discussing the Texans upcoming playoff game with the Colts. As the hour rolls on, they discuss UH’s decision to fire Major Applewhite, Dana Holgerson as a potential replacement, and the wild card round matchups. To finish up the hour, they break down UFC 232.

AJ and Jong are out and Holly, Cody, and Jerry Bo are in for this edition of the Blitz as the third hour gets rolling with the gang being joined by RJ Bell from pregame.com to talk a little more gambling and break down some of the last matchups of the NFL season as well as update the crew on how his picks have been going in the various contests he is involved in. Cody breaks down some of the tentatively leaked Houston Rodeo lineup much to Fred’s disinterest. The gang talks a little college football before wrapping up the show with some desired gifts from Holly’s wishlist.
